In 1971 my wife and I were 22 years old and bought our first
new car, a 1971 MG Midget. A great car to drive and was lots of fun.
In 1972 our first child arrived. Unfortunately we were a little cramped
and had to trade it in for a family car. Twenty-nine years later, we
continued where we left off in 1971 and purchased a 1980 MGB Limited. Even
though it was shabby on the inside and had some body rust, and was not fine
tuned by a long shot, we managed to get the radio / cassette player to work and
took our first ride in it. After two years of restoration, we are enjoying
life on the road again.
