| Ed Spangler was my grandfather Harvey Grace's uncle, brother of his mother Rhoda (Spangler) Grace. Ed was born in VA, came to Nodaway Co, MO, in about 1887 with others in his family when he would have been about 15 years old. Ed and Rhoda's father, Harvey D. Spangler, was a Civil War veteran (Confederate) who lost a leg in the war, and had 18 children with two wives over a 34-year span! |
