| My great-great grandmother Nancy A. (Melton, Hamilton, Prater) Horton, with her son George Horton. Nancy was first married to James Hamilton, who died in 1852, then married George N. Prater (my great-great grandfather), who died in 1862, then she married John Horton. She was the mother of John Allen Prater, who was born in 1860, and others from all three marriages.
