| In 1968 Pontiac added front and rear side marker lights to comply with new federal regulations. |
| The Pontiac Parts Illustrations book omits the ground strap from it's marker parts drawing. I found this drawing in the Chicago Muscle Car Parts Catalog. This part (70 in the drawing to the right) however, shows up in the parts section 2.575 as 9794082 Rear marker Lamp Ground Clip. The sharp ends cuts into the quarter panel paint to complete ground continuity. |
| The chrome bezel, red plastic lens, and grounding clip are replacements. The gasket, metal housing, speed nuts and lamp assembly with wire are all my factory originals. |
| Completed marker assembly. I had mine apart to add/ the ground straps that had been lost years ago. |
