| '68 Firebird Axle & Pinion Bumpers |
| Left (drivers side) axle bumper and bracket for my 1968 Firebird. This being the '68 bracket type with the bumper mounting hole 3/4 inch from the frame. The Pontiac Parts books also indicates a second type with the hole 1 1/8 from frame. The '67 had a smaller bumper mounted on the bottom of the frame rail (holes somewhat visable right of shock in picture below) |

| The Pontiac Parts Book labels the bumper in the picture to the right an axle bumper in one place and a pinion bumper in another. It is located above the front of the differential. This is about half of factory original which has broben off. |
| I have not yet found any of the Firebird new/resto parts vendors offering these parts. I just received a replacement at D&R Classic Automotive from their Camaro Catalog. The width is the same as the original but I don't know how close the replacement is to the original. |
