I
can't remember when this actually happened, but at some point after my
big fallout, I went to this inter-college retreat. What made this
different from any other church experience was that I started to understand
what a difference God makes in our lives. And I got to witness this
effect first hand, through all the other people that I met. Everyone
had a sense of joy, a sense of security, a sense of hope, and a sense of
love. It was basically all the things I was lacking in my life.
This source of joy... this source of love... this source of security... this source of hope... all came through one person - Jesus. Jesus, the one that God sent to this world. Jesus, the one who sacrificed his life so that we could have a repaired relationship with God... if only we accept Jesus as Lord over our lives. With Jesus, there is hope, there is love, there is joy, there is security.
