In Feb '07, we travelled out to USA and UK. I was taking an FAA B737 Type Rating with Higher Power Aviation in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas.
We arrived in Texas on Sunday Feb 25th '07.
We stayed at the hotel in Grand Prairie near by the airport.
I did my training with HPA for almost 2 weeks time.
I met some new friends there and while I was there I got alot of support and help from their staff like Laraine, Gail, Tina, Natalie, Christie and all the other staffs (Thanks all of you..!)
I did my Ground School with Mr. Craig Ritchie and Mr. Rich Davis; Oral Test with Mr. Paul Wood; Simulator training with Capt. Doug Beidler; and the Check Ride with Mr. Robert (Bob) Garcia.
After I finished all my training, we spent our free time there by visiting some intersting places like Zoo in Fort Worth, Grapevine Vintage Railway Museum (where all kids can see and ride the real "Thomas" The Engines in summer) and downtown Dallas. We also did steak hunting there (wow, they always serve each food in a big portion!!).
From Texas, we were heading to Orlando, Florida.
The day we daprted to Orlando was the first day for spring break in USA, so since I took staff travell tickets we were stranded in DFW Airport. We had to spend one extra night sleeping in the airport. Lucky we met some nice enginer from American Airline who saw my kids sleep on the chairs, they borrowed us two stretchers for my kids to lay down.
The next morning we took off to Orlando via Chicago. Arrived in Orlando, we went straigth to Magic Kingdom in Disney World. We spent the whole day there. Andrew and Steven were soo happy and they enjoyed their time there (even Andrew said it was not enough for him...ha3) and I could see it from their faces.
The day after, we went to Sea World still in Orlando. All the boyz were so excited when they touch and feed the dolphins there. We saw the dolphins & whales show as well but we couldn't see the Shamu's (killer-whale) show 'coz one of the killer-whale was giving birth on that day.
From Orlando we continued our journey to London. We took a flight via Chicago.
