A Child of the King

My Father is rich in houses and lands,

   B                                      E

He holdeth the wealth of the world in His hands!

Of rubies and diamonds, of silver and gold,

    E                        B7       E

His coffers are full, He has riches untold.

Iím a child of the King, A child of the King:

                                                     A     B7           E

With Jesus my Savior, Iím a child of the King.

My Fatherís own Son, the Savior of men,

Once wandered on earth as the poorest of them;

But now He is pleading our pardon on high,

That we may be His when He comes by and by.

I once was an outcast stranger on earth,

A sinner by choice, an alien by birth,

But Iíve been adopted, my nameís written down,

An heir to a mansion, a robe and a crown.

A tent or a cottage, why should I care?

Theyíre building a palace for me over there;

Though exiled from home, yet still may I sing:

All glory to God, Iím a child of the King.

A Few More Seasons

Mother first was called to heaven

Left our home all alone

Dad took sick soon and joined her

They're reunited on god's throne

A few more tiring days still face us

A few more weary nights shall come

We'll all be on our way to heaven

When a few more seasons come

In springtime when the flowers blossom

Spreading their fragrance through the air

Walking through the little churchyard

Soon we'll all be resting there

A Heart That Will Never Break Again

I remember standing at my daddy's bedside
When the teardrops filled up the wrinkles on his face
As I held his withered hands he smiled and whispered
I am going to live in a better place.

And I'll have eyes that will never fill with teardrops
I'll have legs that will never ache with pain
And I'll have hands that will never age and wither
And a heart that will never break again.

I have heard and read of a city
Where with Jesus we shall live for ever more
And a mansion's in construction for my dwelling
Where the street of gold will run by my front door.

Oh, the eyes of the blind will then be open
And they'll join the victory march with the lame
And the deaf who has never heard the thunder
Will rejoice to hear the Savior call his name.

A New Name in Glory

  G                            D7

I was once a sinner, but I came
Pardon to receive from my Lord:

This was freely given, and I found
A7                      D7
That He always kept His word.
There?s a new name written down in glory,
         C                 G
And it?s mine, O yes, it?s mine!
        D7                          G
And the white robed angels sing the story,
   A7              D7
?A sinner has come home.?
For there?s a new name written down in glory,
          C                 G
And it?s mine, O yes, it?s mine!
        C                  G            C
With my sins forgiven I am bound for heaven,
G     D7      G
Never more to roam.

I was humbly kneeling at the cross,
Fearing naught by God?s angry frown;
When the heavens opened and I saw
That my name was written down.

In the Book ?tis written, ?Saved by Grace,?
O the joy that came to my soul!
Now I am forgiven, and I know
By the blood I am made whole.

A Song Holy Angels Cannot Sing

Angels never knew the joy that is mine,
For the blood has never washed their sins away,
But up in heaven, I know there'll come a time,
When silently they'll listen, as I sing amazing grace

It's a song holy angels cannot sing,
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
It's a song holy angels cannot sing,
I once was lost, but know am found

Holy is the song that the angels sing,
Before the throne of God continually,
For me to join that song would be a natural thing,
Angels just won't know the words to love lifted me

A Voice From On High

I hear a voice callin'
It must be our Lord
It's comin' from heaven on high
I hear a voice callin'
I'll gain the reward
In the land where we shall never shall die

The Savior has paid a great price for me
He gave His life on Calvary
So I'll follow his footsteps up the narrow way
And be ready to meet Him when He calls on that day

He died on the cross
The old rugged cross
That we would be saved from sin and not lost
So I'll follow His footsteps up the narrow way
And we'll pay that debt on the great judgment day

Ainít No Grave

Go down yonder Gabriel

Put your foot on the land and sea

Now blow your trumpet boy until you hear from me

There ain't no grave gonna hold my body down

There ain't no grave gonna hold my body down

When you hear that trumpet sound

Gonna get up out of the ground

There ain't no grave gonna hold my body down

Looked over Jordan,

What did I see?

A band of angels coming after me

Meet me Jesus meet me

Meet me in the middle of the air

If these wings fail me, meet me with another pair

Alleluia, Alleluia,
Alleluia, Alleluia,
Alleluia, Alleluia,
Alleluia, Alleluia.

He's my Savior

He is worthy

I will praise Him

Amazing Grace

Amazing grace (How sweet the sound!)

That saved a wretch like me!

I once was lost, but now am found,

Was blind, but now I see.

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,

And grace my fears relieved;

How precious did that grace appear

The hour I first believed!

Through many dangers, toils, and snares

I have already come;

'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,

And grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promised good to me,

His word my hope secures;

He will my shield and portion be

As long as life endures.

And when this flesh and heart shall fail

And mortal life shall cease

I shall possess within the vail

A life of joy and peace.

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,

The sun forbear to shine;

But God, who called me here below

Shall be forever mine!

When we've been there ten thousand years

Bright shining as the sun;

We've no less days to sing God's praise

Than when we first begun!

My country, ítis of thee,

Sweet land of liberty,

Of thee I sing;

Land where my fathers died,

Land of the pilgrimsí pride,

From every mountainside,

Let freedom ring!

My native country, thee,

Land of the noble free,

Thy name I love;

I love thy rocks and rills,

Thy woods and templed hills;

My heart with rapture thrills,

Like that above.

Let music swell the breeze,

And ring from all the trees,

Sweet freedomís song;

Let mortal tongues awake;

Let all that breathe partake;

Let rocks their silence break,

The sound prolong.

Our fathersí God, to Thee,

Author of liberty,

To Thee we sing;

Long may our land be bright

With freedomís holy light;

Protect us by Thy might,

Great God, our King.

An Old Account Was Settled

There was a time on earth when in the book of Heaven
An old account was standing for sins yet unforgiv'n
My name was at the top, and many things below
I went unto the keeper, and settled long ago.

Long ago, long ago,
yes the old account was settled long ago
And the record's clear today
For He washed my sins away.
When the old account was settled long ago.

The old account was large, and growing every day
For I was always sinning, and never tried to pay
But when I looked ahead and saw such pain and woe
I said that I would settle and settled long ago.

When at the judgement bar I stand before my King
And He the book will open, He cannot find a thing
Then will my heart be glad, whilel tears of joy will flow
Because I had it settled and settled long ago

Oh sinner, seek the Lord, repent of all your sins
For thus He has commanded if you would enter in
And then if you should live a hundred years below
Up there you'll not regret it, your settled long ago

Are You Washed in the Blood?

Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Are you washed in the blood,
In the soul; cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow?
Are you washed In the blood of the Lamb?

Are you walking daily by the Savior's side?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Do you rest each moment in the Crucified?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

When the Bridegroom cometh will your robes be white?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Will your soul be ready for the mansions bright,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Lay aside the garments that are stained with sin,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb;
There's a fountain flowing for the soul unclean,
O be washed in the blood of the Lamb!

I'll Be All Right (As Soon As I Touch Calvary)

Friend, don't worry 'bout this heavy load I carry
Don't be concerned if it sends me to my knees
For I know a place where all the load will lighten
I'll be all right, as soon as I touch Calvary

If my feeble hand of faith can only reach out
Through this dark and dreary storm of unbelief
If He'll slip His nail-scarred hand into my hand
I'll be all right, as soon as I touch Calvary

Very soon, I will reach the hill, Golgotha
I'll touch the cross, so crudely fashioned from a tree
And if just one precious drop of His blood touches me
I'll be all right, because now, I've touched Calvary

At Calvary

Years I spent in vanity and pride,
Caring not my Lord was crucified,
Knowing not it was for me He died on Calvary.

Mercy there was great, and grace was free;
Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found liberty at Calvary.

By Godís Word at last my sin I learned;
Then I trembled at the law Iíd spurned,
Till my guilty soul imploring turned to Calvary.

Now Iíve given to Jesus everything,
Now I gladly own Him as my King,
Now my raptured soul can only sing of Calvary!

Oh, the love that drew salvationís plan!
Oh, the grace that brought it down to man!
Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span at Calvary!

At The Cross

At the cross, at the cross
where I first saw the light,
And the burden of my heart rolled away,
It was there by faith I received my sight
And now I am happy all the day!

Alas and did my Savior bleed?
And did my Sovereign die?
Would He devote that sacred head
For such a worm as I?

But drops of grief can ne'er repay
The debt of love I owe;
Here, Lord, I give myself away
'Tis all that I can do.

Was it for crimes that I had done
He groaned upon the tree?
Amazing pity, grace unknown!
And love beyond degree!

Well might the sun in darkness hide,
And shut his glories in,
When Christ the mighty Maker died
For man the creature's sin.

Thus might I hide my blushing face
While His dear cross appears
Dissolve my heart in thankfulness,
And melt mine eyes to tears.
