�Donna. I don�t understand why they had to come.� Jackie whined. She and Donna were walking on the hot sand of a beach in California. Jackie didn�t think that when she said she was going to get a tan that Steven and Michael would be there, watching her.
The gang decided to go on a group vacation, seeing as they deserved it for 13 years of hell they had to go through. Jackie was the only one who had to go through one more year. She didn�t even think about Steven or Michael when she agreed to go to the beach. She just thought Donna and Eric would be going, and possibly Fez.
�What did you think? We would just leave them?� Donna asked.
�Yes!�
Donna rolled her eyes, �They are still my friends.�
�I never said they weren�t mine either. It�s just, things are really weird now.�
�Why? You told them you chose yourself.�
�Yes. And I also told them that I�d make up my mind about them after I got my tan. And well Donna, look around! We�re on a freaking beach! Of course I�m going to get a tan! And that means I�m going to have to choose!�
�You�re going to have to sooner or later.�
Jackie sighed, �I know. Look. Can we not talk about this anymore? Let�s get that spot over there. There aren�t any ugly people around.� Jackie said, pointing over to a vacant spot on the beach.
The two girls made their way over, stripped down to their bathing suits, and got down to laying in the hot sun.

�Oh crap. Where�s my boogie board!� Kelso screeched, as he went through the van.
The guys stood around the van, waiting for Kelso. The girls had gone ahead to find a spot. �Come on Kelso.� Eric said impatiently, tapping his foot against the gravel of the parking lot. All the guys were dressed in their bathing suits, ready to go swim but Kelso just had to get his boogie board.
�Screw this. Come on Fez, let�s go.� Hyde said. He and Fez started to walk off.
�Wait for me!� Eric said, jogging up to catch with them. Kelso still remained, searching the back of the van.
�Oh damn. I must have left-� He looked around and noticed no one was there, �Well that�s just rude!� He yelled, and stalked off in the direction of the ocean. He spotted the guys and started running. He ran past them and shouted, �I get to see Jackie in her bikini first!�
Eric looked at Hyde, �Don�t tell me your going to go race him.�
�No. That�s not my style. And plus, I saw her changing into it this morning.� He smiled.
�You son of a bitch.� Fez said, glaring at Hyde. Fez was a bit on the grumpy side today.
�Fez. I�m sorry that we made you change your speedo. But, like we said- we will not be seen with you on the beach with yourself hanging out all over the place.� Eric said.
�That speedo made my butt look glorious. You two sons of two bitches.� Fez replied.
�Whatever.� Eric looked around, �Now where is my red head.�
�Near the doofus trying flirt with my brunette.� Hyde clenched his fists and glared at Kelso.
�She is not yours anymore. So we shall call her Fez�s brunette.� Fez said.
�Why don�t we just call her THE brunette,ok?� Eric said. Sensing the tension that was building up inside of Hyde, �Or Hyde�s.�
�Hey.� Donna said, noticing the guys. She sat up, �Ready to go swim?�
�Am I ever!� Kelso shouted, �Last one in is a kosher� Kelso looked at Hyde and laughed, and then ran into the ocean ahead of everyone. Eric, Donna and Fez ran after. Hyde and Jackie remained on the beach.
Hyde looked down at Jackie, who was clad in a black bikini with pink poka dots, �Aren�t you coming?�
�No.�
�So you�re the kosher?�
�No!� Jackie exclaimed, �I don�t want to swim. I want to tan. So just, go.�
Hyde grinned at her.
�Steven. No.�
He inched closer. He bent down and scooped her in his arms and carried her into the ocean.
�Steven! Put me down!� Jackie yelled, trying to wiggle out of his arms; it wasn�t working. A huge wave was coming towards them, Jackie saw it and let out a scream. Hyde, with Jackie in hold, dove through the wave.
Jackie gasped for air as she reached the surface, whipping back her wet hair, �You jackass!�
Hyde started to laugh, then he stopped when he noticed Jackie�s top wasn�t all the way on. The wave must have pushed it down, �Um. Jackie.�
Jackie looked down, gasped, and quickly pulled up, covering her breast that was hanging out.
�You never saw anything, got it?� She said quickly. Hyde smiled. Jackie splashed water on him, which started a water fight. In no time, Jackie was giggling and smiling. Kelso watched on with jealousy and swam over. He went behind Jackie and pulled her down in the water. Hyde rolled his eyes, beginning to be consumed with jealousy himself. When Jackie came back up, she pushed Kelso, who just laughed.
�Hey Kelso. There�s a naked chick over there.� Hyde said.
�Where!� Kelso asked. Hyde pointed to his left and Kelso swam off into the direction. Another sign that Kelso was no good for Jackie. He left her as soon as he heard there was a naked chick...oh yeah, that naked chick wasn�t really there.
�Why�d you tell him that?� Jackie asked.
�Because he got in the way.�
�Of what?�
�This.� Hyde splashed her with water.
�Oh. It�s on now.� Jackie started splashing water at Hyde. And once again...the water fight resumed action....
A huge wave started taking form. And it was huge. Jackie didn�t notice it, but Hyde did.
�Um. Jackie.� He stopped splashing her.
�What?� She kept on splashing him, �Can�t take the heat? Am I too good for you?�
�No...it�s...�
�Oh is Steven being a chicken. Did water get in your eye?� Jackie teased. The wave was right behind her. Hyde dove forward her, taking her under water with him, and the two dove through the wave.
When the two came up to the surface, their faces were inches apart. Hyde looked at her. Jackie�s eyes gazed down to his lips.
�Jackie. I-�
Hyde couldn�t finish what he was about to say, because another wave was about to crash on them. Both of them were so caught up in staring at each other, that both were crashed on and taken under.
Hyde looked around for Jackie. He saw her get out of the ocean and make her way over to her towel. He sighed and swam over to Eric, Fez and Donna.
�Hey Hyde.� Kelso screamed, �There wasn�t a naked chick!�
�Oh my bad.�
�Where did Jackie go?� Donna asked, looking around, �I saw you two love birds fighting.�
�They are NOT lovebirds.� Kelso said.
�She got out.� Hyde said, looking over at Jackie, who was applying sun screen to her arm.
� I should go and see if she wants some help with her lotion.� Kelso said.
�Do it and die.� Hyde threatened.
�I�m not scared of you. I�m going, and you can�t stop me.� Kelso started swimming away. Hyde went after him, jumping on top of him and taking him underwater. The two started wrestling in the water...as a guy approached Jackie.
�Hey Kelso. I think someone else is taking your job.� Eric said, noticing the guy. Everyone turned to stare, as the guy leaned down and talked to Jackie. Jackie had a smile on her face and nodded. The guy took her lotion and started putting it on her back.
The guy was very attractive. Had on blue swim trunks, a 6-pack, shaggy blonde hair, and a great tan. In other words; he was damn fine.
�Heh,guess you two suckers are out of the picture now.� Fez said, as Jackie and the guy got up and started walking towards the boardwalk.
�Well forget her then.� Kelso swam off to a group of blondes. Hyde just stared at Jackie and the guy, as they disappeared into the crowd on the boardwalk.
�Hyde, you ok?� Donna asked.
�Of course he is.� Eric said, �Now he can move on, to someone less devilish.�
Hyde didn�t say anything. He was to wrapped up in thinking about Jackie, and why the hell she would just go off with some guy she barely knew for 5 minutes. Yet she knew him for years, had so much history with now...but she could so easily walk away from him with some other guy in a matter of seconds.
Did Jackie really mean it when she said she didn�t love him? It�s not like he could make her love him...if she didn�t. Did he have to give up this fight?
Because he didn�t want too. He wanted to keep fighting for her. He wanted to be with her. And deep inside, he believed she loved him still...and if she thought she didn�t, he would have to remind her that she did. He�d make her love him if it had to kill him.
�Hyde.� Fez said, waving his hand in front of Hyde�s face.
�Yeah. Whatever.� Hyde mumbled.
�See. What did I tell ya.� Eric smiled. Hyde looked at Eric and punched him in the arm.

Jackie skipped into the townhouse the gang had rented for a week. She had a very happy expression on her face.
Donna looked up from the book she was reading at the kitchen table, �Why are you so happy?�
�I met this great guy. His name is Tad. Isn�t that a great name? Tad. Oh! I love it! And he�s taking me out tomorrow. Isn�t that romantic?�
�Yeah...sure....if you knew the guy.�
�I do know him! We talked for hours today.�
�Let me guess. He flexed his muscles for you, talked about his hair, and didn�t know a single math problem. And you fell head over heels for him.� Donna said sarcastically.
�No. We talked about MY hair. And yes, he did flex his muscles. And we didn�t talk about math, but he seems very smart. so I bet you are wrong. Anyway, he�s from here. He�s in college! I�m going on a date with a college guy!� Jackie jumped up and down, �This is so great! I need to go pick out my outfit.�
�But the dates tomorrow.�
�Yeah. So I only have a day to pick out my outfit. I have to hurry.� Jackie ran into the bedroom she was sharing with Fez. Donna and Eric had a room. And Hyde and Kelso had a room. Donna, Eric, and Fez were the only ones happy with their rooms, and roommates. Hyde knew he�d kill Kelso. Kelso wanted to share a room with Jackie so they could do it. And Jackie wanted a room to herself, because she hated it when Fez tried on her clothes and makeup.
The guys,except Fez, walked in the front door, each carrying a brown, grocery bag.
�We got beer. Chips. beer. popsicles. beer. and, more beer.� Kelso said.
�That�s it? No bread, lunch meat, stuff for dinner.� Donna said, looking through Eric�s bag.
�That�s what pizza is for. And we don�t have to buy that. We order that.� Kelso said, �Duh Donna.� He rolled his eyes.
�Is Jackie back yet?� Hyde asked.
�Yeah. She�s in her room, picking out an outfit for tomorrow.� Donna rolled her eyes.
�Why?� Hyde asked.
Donna was about to tell him about the date but decided not too, �Um. Because...she likes too.�
Hyde gave Donna a confused look and walked to Jackie and Fez�s room. He opened the door and Jackie was holding up clothes to herself and modeling for Fez, who was laying on his bed.
�No. I don�t like that color.� Fez said.
�What are you guys doing?� Hyde asked.
�I�m trying on clothes.� Jackie said.
�Why?�
�For my date.�
�You�re going on a date?�
�Yup. With Tad.�
�Tad? Who the hell is Tad? That loser you met on the beach.�
�You don�t even know him.�
�Well he looked like a Blonde version of Kelso, and Kelso is a loser.�
�Whatever, Steven. You�re just jealous.�
�Yeah.�
�No, I know you are.�
�I said I was.�
�Oh, you did? Well I thought you�d deny it. Anyway. He isn�t a loser. I like him.�
�You�ve only known him for like an hour.�
�Try more like 3 hours.�
�Oh, wow. 3.�
�Shut up. We talked for a really long time, and he seems really nice and he�s taking me to dinner. We�ve known each other longer, and you never took me to dinner.�
�Yes I did! I took you to the Hub.�
�Oh wow. The Hub. That�s so romantic.�
�You never complained.�
�I complained all the time!�
�Yes, yes she did.� Fez cut in.
�Fez. Go away!� Jackie and Hyde shouted at the same time. Fez got up and ran out of the room.
�Look. I don�t want to talk about us, because that�s over with.� Jackie said.
�Maybe for you. But it�s not for me. Jackie, I don�t want you dating other people.�
�Do you expect me to live my life forever and not date?�
�I expect you to date me.�
�Well you lost your chance!�
�Then give me a second chance. I gave you one.�
�You�re not allowed to bring that up anymore.�
�Why? Because you don�t want me too? Then I don�t want you to bring up my mistake.�
�Your mistake ended our relationship! I can bring it up!�
�Your mistake almost ended it too!�
�Well yours is worse!�
�Says who?�
�EVERYONE.�
Hyde sighed, she was winning this fight, �Look. Jackie. Please. Don�t go on the date.� He grabbed her hand and looked into her eyes, �Please.�
Jackie got lost in his eyes, and was about to cave in, but knew she couldn�t. She shook her head.
Hyde let go of her hand in defeat, and walked out of the room, gently closing the door. Jackie stared at the closed door and sat on her bed. She closed her eyes, pleading with herself not to cry; not to cave.
She thought Tad was really hot, and nice. But the real reason why she said yes to his date offer was to make Hyde jealous. She wanted him to come in her room just like he did and tell her not to do it, she wanted to say she was still going on the date....she wanted to hurt him...like he hurt her.
But she didn�t know she�d feel like this afterwards. She didn�t know she�d be on the verge of tears. but he was so honest, so vulnerable, so sincere when he asked her not to go....she wanted to say she wouldn�t....but, she had to make him jealous; she had to hurt him,she had to...right?

After Jackie and Hyde�s fight, they avoided each other the rest of the night, the morning and most of the afternoon.
�Look. Will you two just talk. It�s creeping me out!� Donna said, looking at both Jackie and Hyde, who were sitting next to each other on the couch. They were sitting in complete silence for the past hour watching tv. Jackie didn�t say anything, she pursed her lips together and stared at the tv. Hyde looked at Jackie, and then at Donna, �Nope.�
�Well than I�m leaving! And you two will be alone in this house, together. And sooner or later, you will talk!� Donna walked out of the townhouse, and slammed the door.
Hyde and Jackie remained silent...up until Jackie changed the channel to Days of Our Lives. Hyde grabbed the remote out of Jackie�s hand and changed it back to Happy Days. Jackie glared at him and grabbed the remote out of his hand, and put it back on her channel.....but then Hyde did the same thing and went back to his channel. Jackie went to get it back,but Hyde held the remote up in the air. Jackie leaned over and tried to get it...but then finally stood up to try, but then he put it under his butt.
Jackie let out a growl and hit him hard in the chest.
�Ow!� Hyde yelled. She pushed him off the couch, and he landed on the floor. She picked up the remote and happily hummed to herself as she watched Days of Our Lives. Hyde glared at her, and then got a smile on his face. He went and stood directly in front of the TV,blocking her view. Jackie glared at him and growled.
�You sound like a dog.� Hyde said, smiling.
�I knew there was another reason why we broke up.� She said. Hyde�s smile turned into a scowl. �NOW MOVE.�
�Still going on that date with Ted?�
�It�s Tad. And yes.�
�Then no.�
�Fine.� She stood up, �Then I�m going to get ready for my date.� She smiled, �Oh yeah, and starting from now. I�m not speaking to you anymore.� She walked to the bathroom.
�Oh yeah. Well Fine. I don�t care about your stupid date anymore. And I hope your hair looks TERRIBLE.� Jackie threw a brush at him from the bathroom, and then closed the door.
�I didn�t mean it.� He mumbled. He sat back down on the couch, and instead of changing it to Happy Days, he watched Days of Our Lives.
�Hey buddy.� Kelso said, walking through the front door.
�Hey.�
�Whatcha watchin?� He asked, sitting down next to him.
�Days of Our Lives.�
�Really! Good. I need to know what happens to Hope!� Kelso exclaimed. Hyde looked at Kelso and shook his head.
At a commercial break, Kelso looked at Hyde, �Where�s Jackie?�
�Getting ready.�
�For what?�
�Her date.�
�A date?! What! She can�t go on a date! She still hasn�t picked on of us! That is ridicu...I KNOW WHAT WE CAN DO! We can break up their date! We�ll follow them. and spy on them. and then...like spill a drink on Jackie and then Jackie will get mad and go to the bathroom and then we�ll beat up the guy, and then Jackie will come back and I�ll tell her that I did it out of jealousy because I love her and then she�ll pick me!�
�No. That�s not going to happen. It�ll be more like, I�ll walk up to them and tell Jackie that I love her . And then I�ll punch the guy. And Jackie will melt like butter. And pick me.�
�No way.�
�Fine, don�t believe me. Wait until tonight.� Hyde challenged.
�Ok! I will!�
�Good!�
�I�m going to go get ready!�
�Fine!�
�And smell nice, because THAT�s what makes Jackie melt like butter.�
�Fine! then I�ll smell nice too!�
�I�ll smell better!�
�No you won�t!�
�Yes I will!�

�HA!� Hyde laughed.
�Dammit. You always do that!� Kelso got up, and stalked to his room, slamming the door. Hyde settled back into the couch with a smile.
~10 minutes later~
Jackie cracked the bathroom door open, �Fez. If you�re out there. Close your eyes. And I mean it.�
�He�s not here.� Hyde said.
�Well then you close your eyes.�
�Ok.� Hyde said, smiling, his eyes remained open and stared at the door, waiting for Jackie to walk out. Which she did...in a short, yellow towel.
�Steven! I said to close your eyes!� She stormed off into her room. Hyde laughed to himself, and then went to the bathroom. He had been holding it for a while.
The bathroom was hot and stuffy; the mirror was steamy, due to Jackie�s hot shower. It smelt like coconuts, which was the smell of Jackie�s shampoo.
He was ready to crash her date. He was ready to fight for her some more, to show her how much he cared....If this was all to get him jealous,it was working. But he was going to win this fight. Jackie was going to melt, right into him...again.

�Bye guys.� Jackie said over her shoulder, as she and Tad walked out of the townhouse.
Hyde and Kelso looked to each other and nodded. They waited a couple seconds and then left the house. They got in the van and followed Tad�s red sports car. They made sure to be a couple cars behind, just in case Jackie saw the van.
They watched from the van as Jackie and Tad walked into the restaurant. Then they got out and went in. They saw Jackie, Tad and a hostess walk out into the patio.
�Hi. A table for two?� A hostess came up.
�Unless you want to join us.� Kelso said, trying to flirt.
The girl stared at him and then looked at Hyde, �Right this way.�
�Can we have get a table out on the patio?� Hyde asked, �Preferably that one, behind that brunette.�
The girl shot him a weird look, �Ok.� She started to lead them out, but went the way that Jackie would see them. Hyde turned the girl with his hands and led her the opposite way, �Go this way.� This way, they would have gone behind Jackie, so she wouldn�t see them. The hostess looked confused, but kept going. Finally, they got to the table right behind Jackie�s back. Hyde sat behind Jackie, so he could hear their conversation...which he couldn�t hear perfectly, but it would do. Kelso watched the hostess�s butt as she walked away.
�Now I�m John. And you�re Bob. got it?� Hyde said.
�Why? But you�re Hy-�
�No. John. If she hears you, she�ll turn around. So talk in a different accent,ok?�
�Ok.� Kelso said, trying to have a British accent. Hyde snickered...because he wasn�t going to make himself talk in a different accent, he just thought it was funny hearing Kelso talk weird.
After about 20 minutes, Hyde heard enough to make him not want to crash her date anymore. He heard her giggle; laugh really loud...
It made him feel really guilty for wanting to crash it..
�So, ready? I�m gonna cream that guy!� Kelso said, still in his British accent.
�You know what- maybe we shouldn�t-�
Hyde stopped, when he heard Jackie and Tad...
�Come on baby...you know you want .�
�No.� Jackie said sternly.
�What did you think? That I wasn�t in this for some action?�
�I guess I thought wrong.�
�Come on baby...�
�NO. get off me!�
Hyde stood up so fast that he almost knocked over his chair. He went over to Tad and pulled him by the collar, �Don�t touch her.�
�Steven! What are you doing here!� Jackie stood up.
�I wasn�t touching her. Who the hell are-�
Hyde didn�t let Tad finish, he punched him in the jaw, sending Tad flying.
�You bastard.� Tad hissed, he jumped up and pushed Hyde, and then punched him in the mouth.
�Stop it!� Jackie screamed. Kelso just looked with wide eyes and an amazed look.
�Kelso.� Hyde said.
�No way. I bruise easily!� Kelso ran away. Hyde rolled his eyes. Tad came close to punching him but Hyde blocked him and was about to hit him in the stomach when Jackie forced her way between the two. She glared at Hyde; her eyes full of anger, disbelief, and embarrassment. Her eyes said everything; she was angry at him for ruining her date, ashamed that he hit her date, and embarrassed that he caused a scene....and that she didn�t love him.
Her eyes said she didn�t love him.
Reality hit him, the biggest blow....worse than a punch, worse than a kick....it scared him, it made him want to cry, made him want to puke...she didn�t love him...
�Sorry.� He mumbled. He looked her in the eyes, and her expression didn�t change. He walked away defeated. Jackie looked on, and when he was out of sight....her lips slightly curled into a small smile.
�He fought for me.� She said softly. She turned to Tad with an death-threatening look on her face and slapped him in the face, �And that�s for thinking you could �get some� with me.� She kneed him in the groin, �And that�s for hitting Steven.�
She flipped her hair over her shoulder, grabbed her purse, and walked out of the restaurant. Leaving Tad bent over, holding his crotch.

Donna handed Hyde some ice wrapped in a kitchen towel.
�I don�t need it.� Hyde pushed it away, �It�s just a little cut.�
�Always the stubborn one.� Donna said, putting the ice down.
�I can�t believe you, man.� Hyde said, glaring at Kelso.
�What?!�
�You were all, �I�m going to kick his ass.�, and when it came to it, you chickened out. Just like always.�
�I told you, I bruise easily!�
�Whatever. I don�t even see why there is a choice to be made between us. It�s so obvious that she should be with me.�
�No,it�s not!�
�Yes,it is. I�m not the one who's been running around with different chicks for the past week.�
�Hey. I just needed a little action on the side.�
�Yeah, well you shouldn�t. If you want Jackie so bad, then why the hell-�
�Stop it!� Donna yelled, �Why don�t you guys act your age, and not like 5 year olds.�
�I don�t think 5 year olds go around doing it, Donna.� Kelso said.
Donna and Hyde stared at Kelso.
�What?� Kelso asked.
�This is already hard enough for Jackie, and you two constantly bickering and fighting isn�t helping!�
�I�m getting out of here.� Hyde said, he walked out of the house and slammed the door.
�I�m going too. I got a date with this blonde chick I met.� Kelso walked away, as Donna stared at him in disbelief.
�Jackie better know who deserves her the most...and it better not be Kelso.� She thought.
�Kelso.� She called out after him, �You�re a pig, you know that?�
Kelso just shot her a dirty look and walked out of the house.

�Donna!� Jackie exclaimed, as she walked into the house. Donna was on the couch, reading a magazine, �Oh my god. You�re never going to believe what happened!�
�Hyde punched Tad. Kelso ran. You got pissed.�
�I know! Steven punched Tad! It was so romantic!�
�Romantic?� Donna put down the magazine and stared at her.
�Just like in the movies.�
�But Hyde said you looked like you were going to kill him.�
�Well duh. I couldn�t just cave. But once he left, I kicked Tad in the balls!�
�Go you.� Donna said impressed.
�I know! I did it for Steven! Because...I love him and I know who I should be with...I�ve always known. I�ve just been trying to avoid it, ya know?�
�No, I don�t. BUT I know what you mean...so..�
�Yeah, so where is he? I need to tell him.� Jackie asked, with a big smile.
�He�s not here. He left a couple minutes ago.�
Jackie�s happy expression fell, �Where�d he go?�
Donna shrugged her shoulders, �He thinks you�re really mad at him though. Really really mad.�
�But I�m not...�
�Well Jackie, how was he to know? He said the look you gave him was death threatening.�
�Oh god. Does he think?� Jackie�s eyes got big, � Oh my god, Donna! He thinks! Oh no. I got to go find him.� Jackie exclaimed, rushing out the door.
�He thinks what?� Donna asked. But the only answer she got was the door slamming.
�Drama.� Donna rolled her eyes.

Hyde sat on the beach and listened to the waves crash onto the shore.
He did everything he could to fight for Jackie; he even stopped fighting for her....and now; it was really over. Jackie wanted to move on. Jackie didn�t need him anymore...She didn�t love him...
She didn�t even have to say the words. The look on her face told him everything....
How did it come to be like this? It use to be drama-free...and now, it�s all drama. It used to be fun, carefree...and then things got serious. And then the mistakes were made...and then the drama just rolled on in.
He wasn�t use to it. He just wanted it to all go away. He just wanted Jackie back.
.....And now he couldn�t....
�Steven.� Her tiny voice startled him. She sat down next to him in the sand. He could feel her eyes burning into him, but he didn�t turn to look at her.
He felt her warm hand on his cheek, as she turned his head to look at her. She examined his lip. She gently touched it with the tips of her fingers, �Does it hurt?�
�No.� He pushed her hand away, �Look Jackie. I get it now. You don�t want me. You want to move on. And I get that now. So I�m giving up. I�ll stop trying to win you back, because it�s not working. And it just keeps reminding me that there isn�t anything I can do. You know I�m sorry. You know I love you. You know I�d do anything...but I�ve done everything I could, and nothing works.�
�Steven.�
�No. Let me finish. I�m sorry for ruining your date. I just- I was so jealous, that I had to do something.
