I let out an annoyed sigh. Jackie glanced over her shoulder and gave me a puzzled look, then turned back to her work. �She�s so pretty� I thought, �But she�s not mine anymore.� Now she�s my best friends girl. I watched as a nerd approached Jackie and tried to make conversation. I could tell he was trying to flirt with her, but Jackie didn�t even look up. The guy�s attempt at flirting was failing faster than my grade in Spanish. Jackie didn�t even acknowledge his presence. My eyes darted to Hyde, who was making his way over to his seat which was next to Jackie. Hyde grabbed the guy by the collar and shoved him out of his way. He muttered a hey to me. I just gave him a nod. I watched as Hyde pulled his chair closer to Jackie. She looked up and smiled, �Hey!�
�Hey. Homework?� he said referring to the paper Jackie was working on.
�Well, someone wouldn�t keep their hands to themselves.�
�Hey, your the one who had her tongue down my throat.�
�Oh please! You couldn�t keep your hands or your mouth away from me!�
�Whatever man.�

�Ha!� Jackie turned back to her homework. Hyde just shook his head and smiled.They always did this, and every time, I would always listened in. I watched Hyde�s hand go up Jackie�s skirt.
�Steven!� she hissed, �Don�t do that!�

�Oh come on, I�m just having a little fun...�
�Well fun can wait, I gotta finish this.�

Jackie�s face softened, �Aw, I�m sorry baby.� She leaned in a gave him a kiss. She was about to pull back, but Hyde stopped her by kissing her. The kissing got deeper...and deeper. I couldn�t take it anymore.
�EW! gross guys.� I shrieked, �Damn, you guys are like...like...things that kiss...a lot.�
Jackie rolled her eyes, �Michael, you are so stupid.�
Hyde just shook his head and laughed.
Jackie looked back at Hyde, �So where are you taking me tonight?�
�Uh...�
�Steven! Don�t you remember? It�s our 6 month anniversary!�
�You said that last month.�
�No,that was our fifth! UGH! don�t you listen?�
I rolled my eyes, this was going to be a looong argument. Luckily, the teacher, Mr. Balding, came in and told everyone to be quiet. My mind wandered...it�s not like I actually paid attention in class.I just copied of off Jimmy Headgear who sat next to me.
I stared at the back of Hyde�s head. I was suppose to be there. I was suppose to be sitting next to Jackie. I was suppose to be with Jackie. But no, I screwed it all up last May. Married, I couldn�t get married! I have so much to do before marriage. I can drink...legally. See strippers...legally. Have sex with other girls! Ok, Ok. Maybe I could have dealt with just having sex with Jackie......No, No. I wouldn�t be able too! I�d cheat on her, like i did before! and the time before that...
I loved Jackie...or so I thought. Ok, so maybe I don�t. But it was close! I think. Damn, I don't know! She�s the only one I�ve really cared about though. But Hyde! C�MON! He�s all...Hyde. And she�s all....Jackie. Jackie and Hyde...
I looked at Hyde and Jackie who were holding hands as they sat.
It made perfect sense.
See, Everyone thinks I don�t pay attention. But I do. I do more than the others do. The others didn�t really see what I see when I see them. Something was different. Different from Donna and Eric. Different from Jackie and me. Jackie didn�t screech at him in a high pitched voice. Hyde didn�t cheat on her. He didn�t even looked at other chicks like he looked at Jackie. Jackie didn�t make Hyde buy her stuff. Jackie returned that pink sweater that I stole for her! A PINK FLUFFY SWEATER! Jackie returned...And instead, she got a Led Zeppelin shirt, which she loves so much. She loves it more than anything I ever gave her.
Jackie didn�t drag him to the mall. Jackie didn�t even spend that much time at the mall. She spent way more time in the basement with him. Hyde wasn�t annoyed with her. He let her spend all her time with him, and he spent all his time with her. It wasn�t just him, me and Fez who went out, it was now him,me, Fez and Jackie. Oh yeah, Eric and Donna too...sometimes. But anyways, back to Jackie and Hyde. He shaved his beard for her!!!!AND HYDE LOVED THAT BEARD! damn, something was different. Everything was different. Jackie even looked different. Her eyes were always bright and shining. They would light up when Hyde would walk in the room. Whenever we were together, she would just screamed �Michael! where were you!�
Hyde changed her. Hyde changed My Jackie. Jackie wasn�t as annoying and bossy. She was more laid back. Calm. Cool. Collected...like Hyde! And Hyde, oh yeah, Jackie changed him. Now Hyde goes to all his classes. ALL his classes. And he did his homework. All because Jackie said, �Steven, go to your classes.� and BAM,he went to them! i mean, yeah, he tried and say , �No Jackie, you cant control me.. blah blah blah.� but whatever man, he was in class the next day. And I knew because he�s in almost all of my classes. And the ones that he isn't, he�s with Fez or Eric. And they always tell if he�s in class or not.
Hyde was more of a gentleman too. He held the door for Jackie. Gave her his jacket when she was cold. And if anyone said anything bad about HIS Jackie, he�d kick their ass...literally, he kicked their asses. If guys tried to flirt with Jackie, he�d kick their asses too. No one touched Jackie. Except for Hyde. No one hurt Jackie, not even Hyde. Ok, so maybe kicking people�s asses isn't gentlemanish, but around Jackie, he wouldn�t kick anyones ass.
Hyde was a changed man.. thanks to a Donny Osmond lovin,shoe shoppin, ice capade attending Jackie! Hyde tried to deny he was changed, but I�m not stupid, I know he�s changed. And i know he loves her. I can see it. It�s kinda like with Mr and Mrs Foreman. I kinda see them in Jackie and Hyde, and its weird. I didn't know Hyde could...love someone but, now i think he can.
I understand why people think I�m stupid. I suck at school. And yeah, I�m not �All there� but I do have common sense and I�m not stupid in all areas of life! I know Jackie loves Hyde and I know deep down, Hyde loves Jackie and its only a matter of time until he realizes it. No one, not Donna, Eric or Fez, could see it. They all were convinced that Hyde would never love Jackie. But...Hyde changed. Jackie changed. And I see the way they look at each other. I see...love.
See, me and Jackie, we were just puppy love i guess. We just wanted to be in love. I mean, I did have feelings for Jackie. She�s hot and I like being around her, but we weren't in love. I didn�t fulfill all her needs and wants with our relationship. But now... she�s found everything in Hyde. And he didn�t even tell her he loves her! and he hardly buys her anything! And she�s happy with it! She�s fine... and if she were with me, she�d be all �Michael, tell me you love me!� �Michael, buy me that!� I guess Hyde gives her more than just gifts. He listens to her. He helps her. He wants to be with her. He gives her a real relationship. He gives her what I couldn't give her. I�m really not that stupid. I�m really not. I know they are for real. I know they are in love. And it sucks big time, but I gotta give her up. I mean, I�m always gonna see if theres a way to get her...but...I know I�ll never get her back. And now that I think about it...I don�t want her back. I like the Jackie with Hyde. I like the person she has become. And if that Jackie only comes out when she�s with Hyde, then I want her to be with Hyde.
�Mr. Kelso!� Mr. Balding snapped, causing me to jump back to reality, �What is the answer?�
�Uh...,� I�m so confused, I have no idea what the hell the question was!, �Uh...Hola?�
Mr. Balding shook his head, �Mr. Kelso. See me after class.�
�Damn!� I thought. The class snickered at me. I saw Hyde look over his shoulder and just shake his head, laughing. They love to laugh at me, don�t they? Yeah, well I�m laughing right back at you buddy. Yes you Hyde. I�m laughing because I know you love her and you wont admit it. I�m not the only idiot.
The bell rang and I watched Jackie and Hyde get up and make their way to the door.
�We�ll wait outside for you man.� Hyde said to me,looking over his shoulder. I got my books together and walked up to Mr. Balding. Yeah, he was bald too.
�Mr. Kelso, Please pay attention in class.�
I looked out the door and saw Hyde and Jackie.Jackie was leaning against the wall and Hyde was standing next to her, talking. I saw her head fly back in laughter. I watched as she said something and smile,pulling Hyde closer to her and kiss him.
�Mr. Kelso!� Mr Balding said. Causing me to break my stare at Jackie and Hyde and looked at him.
�Huh?�
�Pay attention!�
�I am.� I said, looking back over at Jackie and Hyde.
�Whatever you say Michael, whatever you say.� Mr Balding said shaking his head, �You can go now.�
I walked out of the classroom and over to Jackie and Hyde.
�Ha ha, you got in trouble.� Jackie said in a singsong voice.
�Yeah man, pay more attention.� Hyde said,putting his arm around Jackie. We all started walking down the hallways.
I rolled my eyes, if only they knew.
