| ~A/N: Ok. Donna and Eric are still in town, but plan to be leaving soon. And the movies I chose are just random movies from the year 1978. don't know what time, so just bare with me...just needed 2 movies to use...hope ya enjoy! oh, and people's thoughts are in '_' and actual dialogue is in "_" just to clear up any confusion~ ~Green Eyes~ Hyde didnt know what to do. It had been two weeks since Jackie chose herself. Every time he called, shed never pick up the phone. Every time he went over to talk, she wouldnt answer the door and Donna would come out and make up some excuse like Shes not home. or Shes sleeping. or Shes painting her toes. She never came to the basement, so the only time he saw her was when hed catch a glimpse of her through Donnas window. He knew she needed time, but he didnt understand what for. A decision between himself and Kelso didnt need to take the whole summer to decide. Hyde knew he messed up, but he was willing to do anything. Kelso didnt even care. Right now, he was off with some bimbo. If only Jackie would open her eyes and see that Kelso was no good, then the both of them could get on with their lives. Hyde didnt want to go to college without Jackie. Not that she would be coming with him, but he wanted her. He wanted their relationship back, but he didnt know what to do. She wouldnt talk to him. Maybe if he just broke down the door to Donnas room...or climb up to the window. Hydes face lit up, Not a bad idea! Hyde walked over to the Pinciottis. It was almost 8 oclock. Donna and Eric were out at a movie. Bob and Joanne were out of town...so Jackie would only be there. He walked to the back of the house where Donnas room was and looked up at the window. It was closed, but the curtains were pulled back so he could see a little into the room. The light was on, but he didnt see Jackie. He looked at the side of the house...there was nothing he could climb on. Great. He muttered to himself. If only there was something he could climb on... A light bulb went off in his head...A latter! He knew where the Formans kept theirs. He walked back to the Formans and into the garage. He started looking around for it, but didnt see it... Dammit. He walked out of the garage feeling defeated. All he wanted to do was talk to Jackie, but she wouldnt let him... if only he made it so that she had... or at least so she could hear him... He marched over to the Pinciottis and stood under the window. He looked around for a pebble, and found one. He threw it at the window. After hearing the pebble hit the window, Jackie walked over to the window and looked out and saw Hyde standing there. Steven? She said outloud, No. She said through the closed window, she turned around. JACKIE. She heard him shout. She turned back and shook her head. She didnt want to talk to him. She grabbed the curtains and pulled them together. Great. Just great. Hyde said. Now what the hell am I going to do? Another light bulb went off in his head.... Jackie laid on her side on her cot. Part of her wanted to go see if Hyde was still there, but she knew the other part of her would run downstairs to go see him....and she wasnt ready to do that...She knew shed get carried away and end up forgiving him...and she didnt know if she could do that or not. There were no doubts in her head that she loved him, but he had hurt her so much. It was hard to believe him when he told her that he loved her. She didnt know if he just said it to get her to take him back, or if he actually meant it. She wanted this mess to just go away. She wanted it to go back to the day when Hyde saw her and Kelso on the couch. She wanted to look up and see him and explain everything. She wanted to prevent him going to the hotel...prevent him from sleeping with that nurse... Jackie knew he was sorry. She could tell. Even through her anger and tears, she knew that he was sorry...but that wasnt enough for her to go back to him...He cheated on her. The worst thing he could do to her, after Kelso. How could he do that? The more and more she thought of it, the more and more she cried. Fresh tears were coming down her cheeks, soaking her pillow. Then out of the blue, she heard a song from outside... Hyde stood outside, holding a radio above his head. He knew this looked a little stalkerish, but he didnt care. He needed to get her attention, and if he had to stand there looking like a fool, blaring some cheesy love song...then so be it... /Honey you are a rock Upon which I stand And I come here to talk I hope you understand/ Jackie got off of her cot and made her way to the window. She didnt open the curtains. She just stood there, listening.... /That green eyes Yeah the spotlight shines upon you And how could anybody deny you / Hyde watched the window, waiting for any sign of Jackie...but the curtains were still closed. He just hoped she was listening.... he needed her to hear what he had to say...through a song... /I came here with a load And it feels so much lighter Now I met you And honey you should know That I could never go on without you Green eyes/ The tears stopped, and a smile formed on her face. She was impressed, she never knew he could be this romantic. God I miss him so much. /Honey you are the sea Upon which I float And I came here to talk I think you should know/ I hope she doesnt think Im a stalker. He thought to himself. His heart was beginning to fall again... she didnt open the curtains, maybe she locked herself in the bathroom to avoid listening. He was hoping she hadnt, because he wanted her to know that hed do anything...even stand outside like an idiot with a radio... /That green eyes You're the one that I wanted to find And anyone who tried to deny you Must be out of their mind/ Come on Jackie. He was growing impatient. Maybe this idea wasnt a good one...maybe Jackie really needed the summer to think... maybe Kelso had a chance... maybe she doesnt love me /Because I came here with a load And it feels so much lighter Since I met you And honey you should know That I could never go on without you Green eyes Green eyes Honey you are a rock Upon which I stand/ He sat the radio on the ground and turned it off. So much for that idea. Steven. Hyde turned around and looked... Jackie was at the back door. Hi. She said quietly, staring at him. Hi. He was amazed that she was actually in front of him... He knew this was his chance, I miss you. I miss you too. She glanced at the radio beside his feet, I heard it. Its just...you wouldnt answer the phone,or door..or- I just needed time. Hyde nodded, I guess I better just go... He started to turn away... No. Or not. Jackie smiled, You know. I have one green eye, one blue... Yeah, but you know, they dont really have songs that mention that. Jackie smiled...Do you wanna come in? Jackie asked...hoping hed say yes. Sure. He couldnt believe she was actually inviting him in... ~~Pinciottis Kitchen~~ Do you want anything to drink? Jackie asked, looking over her shoulder at him. No. Im good. He walked over to the kitchen table, and sat down in one of the chairs. Jackie pulled out a coke from the fridge, and walked over to the table and sat down in the chair across from his. How have you been? She asked. Not so good. He said, why sugar coat it and say great? Jackie looked down at the table, Me too. Silence fell over the room. Hyde stared at Jackie...her hair looking perfect as ever...she was wearing pink pants and a yellow tee-shirt with little pink flowers across her chest. She looked just like she did everyday...but in the inside, she was miserable just like him. He took off his glasses and set them on the table. Taking a deep breathe, he prepared to open up... Jackie. I really miss you. Jackie looked at him. Coming from Steven Hyde, that was like he was saying he loved you... Hard to believe. But she looked in his eyes, and knew he missed her, really missed her. And she really missed him too, she bet he could see it in her eyes. Me too. Her throat began to hurt, and tears filled her eyes. He saw that, and changed seats...sitting closer to her now... He reached out for her hand and held it. Give me another chance. He said, his voice almost a whisper. His voice was full of heart and honesty, and almost as if he was on the verge of tears himself. It didnt sound demanding; it wasnt full of urgency and anger. It was...real. Kelso would have never acted like this. Jackie looked at Hydes eyes. He had never been good with words or his emotions. Besides the time in his car when he told her he had cheated and the time he told her he loved her, this was the most emotion she had seen in him... She was impressed...he even took off his sunglasses. She smiled, and his heart fluttered. Im impressed. She said. His face twisted in confusion...not the response he was aiming for... She noticed his expression, Impressed by you. Why? Steven...youre never like this, you never...this romantic. She had a point there...He was never much for the romantic crap, but if it would help get her back...hed do anything he was against, EVEN be for the government. Im being honest here, Jackie. I know you are. And I love you for it. Did she just say she loved me? Hyde thought. Yes, Steven. I do love you. She said, knowing what he was thinking. He smiled, I love you too. The two stared at each other for a couple of seconds, Do you want to try... She knew the end of that sentence...and she knew her thinking period was over. She didnt need anymore time to think. It was crystal clear who was being true here, and that was Hyde. Now she had to be true to herself... She cupped his face and kissed him. The kiss surprised him, but he kissed back... Jackie pulled back for air and smiled, I missed that too. She said breathlessly, resting her forehead against his. Me too. She stood up and so did he. She wrapped her arms around his neck. He wrapped his around her waist and pulled her closer, burying his face in her hair. He never knew someone could be this important. He never knew love was important. He didnt know a lot of things until Jackie. Jackie opened his eyes to so much, and almost losing her just showed how much he needed her; how much he loved her. Jackie on the other hand never knew love could be like this. How love could forgive all. What Hyde did was in the past. It hurt still, but it would have hurt her more if she didnt have him. Loving him overpowered everything...all obstacles; all mistakes... She turned her head and kissed him on the cheek. She reached for his hand, and silently led him out of the kitchen and up the stairs to Donnas room. Hyde went and sat on the edge of Donnas bed as Jackie shut the door. So what do you want to do? Jackie asked, walking over to Hyde. Hyde looked up at her and smiled. Not that! Jackie giggled. What do you want to do? Hmm... Jackie sat on his lap and kissed him, pushing him back onto the bed. Things were heating up.... Movie. Lets go see a movie. Jackie blurted out, sitting up. A movie? You wanna go see a movie? Hyde was thrown off by her abrupt change of mind. Yup. She got off of the bed and walked over to the mirror, fixing her hair. He groaned and went behind her, Youre such a tease. He said in her ear, then placing a kiss on her neck. You never took me to the movies before. Now that were back together, We have to make it official. And going to the movies is going to do that how? Steven! People go to the movies. Its a Friday night. People are going to see us together. So? Uh! Just take me to the movies! Jackie exclaimed, hitting him in the chest. Yes dear. Hyde said sarcastically. ~~Movie Theaters~~ Youre the one that I want. Do-whop-Do-whop-Do ooh ooh ooh! Donna sang, and then pointed to Eric. Honey. Eric sang. Niice Forman. Hyde said. He and Jackie had just bought their tickets when they saw Donna and Eric walk out of the theater. Uh, Hey Hyde...Jackie. Eric said, blushing. Donna made me do it. Donna looked at Jackie and Hyde, who were holding hands, What the hell is going on here?! Well Steven. Jackie shot him the death glare, Wouldnt let us go see Grease, so we have to go see Halloween. Which its totally going to scare me and give me nightmares, but no. Steven just HAD to see this. No. You two, holding hands...I thought you chose you? Donna said. Oh that. No. Steven and I are back together. Jackie said happily. Yeah, and shell tell you all the happy details later. Right now, we have to go see people get killed. Hyde said. Hey. I got an idea. Lets go with them. Eric said. No Eric. I told you I am not seeing Halloween. Mike Myers is creepy. Donna said. But Hydes making Jackie go see it. Did you stand outside with a radio above your head? No. Hyde said. Eric and Donna stared at him, Ill tell you later. Ill tell you. See Steven stood under the window and.. No, Jackie. Movie. Fine. Jackie rolled her eyes, Ill tell you later. Plllease Donna. You and Jackie can go to the bathroom and talk like you always do. Plllease lets go. Eric pleaded. Fine. Lets go buy tickets. Donna said. All we have to do is walk in with Jackie and Hyde. Eric said. Eric. Thats against the law! So? Fine. But if we get busted....its all on you. Donna said. Deal. Well just haul ass. Oh Donna. Steven was so romantic. Jackie gushed. Can it, Jackie. Hyde said. Steven! Its nothing to be embarrassed about. Jackie said. Yes, Steven. Theres nothing wrong with being all lovey dovey with the woman you love. Eric teased. Shut up Forman. Hyde said. The 4 some walked into the theater and headed up for the back row. As soon as they all sat down (Donna next to Eric, who was next to Jackie who was next to Hyde), Jackie stood up, Donna. Bathroom. Now. Donna rolled her eyes, Just when I sit down. The two girls walked down the steps and out of the theater. So you and Jackie back together again. Eric said, Youre life is like a soap opera now. Just as much as yours is. Hyde said. True. Eric agreed. The past year had been pretty dramatic, So... I guess you and her are pretty serious. Yeah. You DO have a heart! The tin man went and got himself a heart. Shut up Forman. Do you want to make it to Madison alive? ~~Girls Bathroom~~ I cant believe it. Hyde serenading you. Donna said, in shock from Jackies story. Isnt it romantic! Jackie exclaimed. I cant believe Im saying this about Hyde...but yes. He opened up completely. Telling me he missed me, really missed me. And that he loved me. And...oh my god Donna. It made me love him even more...if thats possible. Im really happy for you guys. Donna said. She was genuinely happy for her best friends. Well. We better get back to the movies. They better have not touched my goobers. ~~Theater~~ Jackie swatted at Eric, who tried to take a goober. The lights went down, and the dancing hot dog and soda were on. Two figures walked into the theater. Shh! One hissed. Ouch! HEY. Did you take my candy?! One exclaimed in a harsh whisper. Fez. The 4 said out loud. Did someone say my name? Fez said. He walked up to the top row, Oh its you guys! Look Kelso. Its our friends; Hyde, Jackie, Eric and Donna! Fez made his way down the row and sat next to Hyde. Oh hey guys. Kelso said. Jackie felt Hydes arm go around her shoulders and she smiled, it felt good to be in his arms again. Hyde! Get your hands off Jackie! Kelso exclaimed. SHH! Everyone in the theater hissed. Sorry. Kelso whispered. He looked at Jackie and Hyde and then sat down next to Fez, letting out a dramatic sigh. I told you everyone would be here. Jackie whispered in Hydes ear, And now they all know. She kissed him. There will be none of that. Eric whispered. Shut up Eric/Shut up Forman. Jackie and Hyde whispered at the same time. Stop the whispering! I want to watch the movie! Donna hissed angrily from her seat. Hyde and Jackie settled back into their seats. Hydes arm remained around Jackie. Man. This so sucks. Jackie chose Hyde. Kelso whispered to Fez. Poor you. We all saw it coming. Well then why didnt you warn me! I did. I told you, We all know Jackie will choose Hyde. I am in no mood for a movie! Good bye! Kelso said outloud, throwing a bag of M&Ms, landing in Fezs lap. But Kelso- Fez whispered. I said good bye! But... SHH! Everyone in the theater yelled. You forgot your m&ms. Fez whispered, but Kelso was long gone, More candy for me. He happily opened the m&ms and started eating them. Hyde couldnt keep his attention on the movie. It wasnt his idea to go to the movies. It may have been his choice of movie, but there was no way in hell hed go to some chick flick. Still, the movie didnt even compare to what else he could be doing with Jackie. Not sex or anything, not even making out...although hed like to be doing that...he would rather be with her somewhere they could talk...and make out... This movies lame. He whispered to Jackie. Its 5 minutes into it. She whispered back. So? So. Why dont we just ditch this and go somewhere else... Steven Hyde. You pig. No,not that. Come on, lets go. Can we go to the mall? If I say no, what will you do? Make you go see Grease. Over and over again. Alright. The mall it is. He leaned over to Eric, See ya later man. Alright-Wait. What? Eric whispered. He and Donna both turned to look as Hyde and Jackie made their way down the aisle. Fez scooted over next to Eric, Well I guess their off to do it. He popped an m&m in his mouth, Ooh! Jackie left her goobers! Eric and Donna just looked at each other, and then settled back into enjoy the movie. OH NO. WATCH OUT. MICHAEL IS BEHIND YOU. Fez yelled. Donna let out a tiny scream and put her head in Erics shoulder. Eric looked at the screen, horror over his face, Whyd I want to see this again? He thought. ~~Hydes Car~~ First, you stand outside my window...like Romeo and Juliet. Then you pour your heart out to me. Then take me to the movies, and pay for everything. Then take me to the mall! So far, youre doing a great job. Jackie said. Hyde let out a chuckle. She started playing with his hair... It was like nothing happened. It was like they never broke up... it was back to the comfortable relationship. They picked up exactly where they left off...before all the drama happened. Steven. We dont have to go to the mall. We could always go back to your place...or Donnas. And you call me the pig. Jackie laughed, Oh come on Steven. Do you really want to go to the mall? She seductively rubbed her leg up his. His eyes shifted down to see... No. Jackie leaned over, Then turn the car around. she said in his ear, then placing a kiss under it. Hyde quickly made a U-Turn. Jackie sat back and giggled, Steven! ~~Formans House~~ Hyde and Jackie got out of the car and headed for the basement steps. Kitty saw them through the kitchen and came outside. Oh look at you two! Together again! She said happily, holding her hands together at her chest. Jackie blushed, and Hyde cleared his throat, Uh, yeah Mrs. Forman. You should have just seen Steven. All mopey and sad. I was afraid he was going to be like Eric was last summer. But thank god you two got back together! She let out a laugh. Alright, Mrs. Forman. Jackie just smiled, Oh Steven. Dont be embarrassed! She turned to Kitty, Mrs. Forman, you should have seen what Steven did! Another time, Jackie. Another time. He pushed her towards the basement steps. Oh but I want to hear. Kitty called out...but Hyde had successfully got Jackie down the steps and into the basement... ~~Hydes Room~~ You do realize everyone will know by the end of this week. Jackie said, as they walked into his room. She sat down on his mattress, No use in trying to get me to keep quiet. That I just cannot do. You think I dont know that? Hyde said, taking off his sunglasses and throwing them on his dresser. Jackie glanced at the clock, it was almost 11 oclock, You think I can sleep here tonight? Jackie asked. Not wanting to leave him at anytime... Why not. Weve done it before. Ill be more quiet this time, so we wont get caught. Hyde laughed, Yeah, none of Formans crap is out. Its all packed up. God. She laid back on his mattress, I cant believe theyre leaving in less than a week. He laid down next to her and the two stared at the ceiling, Yup. Its gonna be weird without them. Jackie contemplated with herself to whether to bring up a sour subject or not...she decided to go with it... When do you think youre going to go? She asked. Who said anything about me going? Jackie propped herself on her elbow and looked at him, Youre not going to college? Maybe Ill just wait and go next year. But Steven. She sat all the way up now and faced him, You should go now. Why? Because! Not a good reason. Well what are you going to do? Does Mr. Forman know? Hes going to be pissed. Ill stay here and help with the hotel. And yes, Red does know. And no, hes not pissed. Probably disappointed. Does it matter? No. Lets change the subject. You have so much potential, Steven. You can do so much besides working at that hotel. I never said I wasnt going to go. Ill go when you go. Is that what this is about? Me? I dont want to be the reason you dont go to college! Hyde sat up, You are the reason I actually thought about going to college. Im going to go to college, ok? Just a year later. End of discussion. He laid back down. She frowned. She knew she had upset him. She crawled on top of him, Im sorry. She leaned down and kissed him. She slid off him and laid beside him, Now you can take me to all the dances. He laughed. She always knew how to lighten up the mood. She took his hand and laced her fingers in it, So I guess well be the new Eric and Donna. Your the neighbor boy...and Im the girl next door. Except, youre not at all scrawny and I am not a lumberjack. You think its weird that were staying with people who aren't blood related? Yeah, a little. Its going to be so weird without Donna. Yeah...I bet Im going to be the new dumbass now. An idea popped into Jackies head... You know...we could always buy a place. She said, looking over at him for his reaction. Are you serious? He looked at her. It makes sense. We have no family. Were living at our friends houses who wont be here next year. Yeah... He propped up on his elbow, but what happens when we go to college? And how are we going to afford it? We could rent. I dont know. Forget it. Jackie shook her head, It sounded good in my head. Hyde watched Jackie stare at the ceiling. The idea was good. It was perfect, and he was saving up money from his job and Red had mentioned money he was saving up for him...but that was for college. What he failed to mention to Jackie earlier during the discussion of college was that Red and Kitty were pushing him to go to college and enroll in University of Wisconsin. Everyone was pushing him too, even Jackie. He wanted to go, but he didnt want to leave Jackie... Jackie stared at the ceiling. She wanted him to go to college. She didnt want to be the reason why he stayed. Although it was romantic...she wanted him to go. They would have weekends. They could make it work. She looked over at him and saw him looking at her. She pouted. She knew she could persuade him. He groaned, he knew she could persuade him... I just want you to go. We can make it work. Well have weekends, and holidays. And youll come back and take me to the dances. Its only an hour drive. He let out another groan and rolled onto his back. Plllease. Do it for me. She gave him her sad puppy look. Hyde knew there was no way to get out of this. Only 3 hours since they made up, Jackie succeeded him into making a huge life decision. Alright. Jackie squealed and tackled him, kissing him. Hyde rolled over so that he was on top. Kisses turned more heated and passionate. No doubt in her mind...Hyde was the only choice to be made. How could she live without this? She had become so use to it. He was the only home she had. She was so glad that today had happened. Normally, shed just sulk in her room at night thinking about him...and avoiding him. But tonight...she wouldnt have changed it for the world. It just made her come to realization that Hyde was a part of her life and would always be. She couldnt throw him away. Their relationship was too important; too special; too real. When she chose herself, she really chose him. She needed him. She wanted him. She loved him... She just needed time to realize just how much. She wouldnt take back what happened. Everything happens for a reason. This just opened their eyes to what was really important... I love you. Jackie said softly, as they took a breather. I love you too. He leaned back down and captured her lips... And now it was perfectly clear. |
