This was the first time I've ever seen this opera. It was incredible. The opera was set in Paris in the 1950's with an updated translation though sung as originally written. The casting was superb with some of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard. Not only were the voices magnificant, but the acting, sets and performers equally matched. It was wonderful to see such a talented young group of actors who looked, acted and sang beautifully. This is a must return show. Unfortunately, not being familiar with the libretto, I had to spend too much time reading the subtitles (which appeared on stage). What's happening on stage shouldn't be missed, not for one second.
