| Dinner at Eight Vivian Beaumont Theater December 15, 2002 First, the sets and costumes were absolutely amazing. It takes a lot for me to be awestruck by sets. I had only recently seen the classic 1933 movie with Jean Harlow and John Barrymore. The stage version was wonderful with all the dry parlour humor of the Brits but taking place in good old NYC. It is truly an ensemble cast but special notes need to be nodded to Marian Seldes, Christine Ebersole and Emily Skinner. |
