Guenevere is my trouble maker. She has an affinity for escape attempts, petty thievery, and plant destruction. I'm currenly living in a place which won't allow pets, so my friends Scott and Sherry are graciously watching her and Sadie for me. (Thanks Scott and Sherry!)

Sadie is my little nitwit. She's not nearly as crafty as Guenevere, but she's cute anyway. She's bigger than Guenevere, which makes her think she has a license to bother Guen, but Guenevere shows her who the real boss is.

Winnie was the most loving and gentle ferret I have ever known. She was mostly blind from what I can tell. I got Winnie from a friend at a pet store, when she was about 4 or 5 years old. I used to think she was clumsy, but I finally realized she couldn't see more than bright light sources. She got around the house so well, it didn't seem to be much of a detriment. Winnie loved to eat the same food as I did. Considering my bachelor diet at the time, I'm sure it wasn't the healthiest thing for her, but how can you resist a ferret begging for yogurt? Sadly, Winnie developed a tumor, and despite fighting valiantly for a week in the Veterinary clinic, she finally passed away in August, 2000.

My room-mate, Scott received Jessie from someone who had found her. When we first got her, she had been abused, apparently, but with much love and attention, she soon regained trust. When Scott was unable to keep Jessie at his new apartment, I watched her for over a year. She and Winnie were inseperable. If one got up to use the bathroom, the other had to tag along. Jessie the ferret was found to have a tumor around the 15th of September 1999, and was put to sleep.

Winnie and Jessie, Together Again
Ironically, these two, who were the best of friends, ended up passing away. If there's a final resting place for pets, I am sure these two are frolicking around, searching for raisins and Ferretone.
