| I find it funny that most Americans that are interested in politics try to assosciate themselves with either the "conservative-right" or the "liberal-left". The reason that I find this amusing is because both sides give you the same end result. Either way you, you end up in command and control. It is just a question of which group is in control of the other. There is not much of a difference, in my mind, between Adolph Hitler's fascist army of secret police & Joseph Stalin's communist army of secret police. They are supposed to be idealogical opposites. However, an elementary examination of the two factions shows that they are, in reality, ideological twins. Both of these horrible dictators used their control of the government to supress any criticism of their regimes. In America, it has always been a tradition that criticism of our government is a healthy thing to have. We should always be struggling away from totalitarian government, towards anarchy. Of course, anarchy is not the end goal. It is something we hope never to achieve, but the struggle toward it is the only way to keep totalitarianism out of our lives. Democracy is just a stepping stone to totalitarianism. It has been said that "democracy is tryanny by the majority" or "democracy is 3 wolves & a sheep voting on what is for dinner." A majority consensus does not constitute a moral decision. |
