This is a ridge on our way up to the top of Ben Nevis...showing rich green of the hills, the heather starting to get it's deep lavendar coloring and the deep, deep blue of that endless Scottish sky. I loved Scotland and someday I WILL return.

For seven days in May and June of 2000, 14 friends and strangers walked north on a trail system that snakes it's way north through the Scottish Highlands. Starting just north of Glasgow, for 95 miles the trail crosses the fields, streams and valleys of the Scottish highlands until it finally ends at Fort William at the base of Ben Nevis.

I'll do just about anything for a dram of single malt Scotch - including a little jam session in the Pub at the Kings House Inn located far north on the West Highland Way.
