Christ In The Old Testament:

(Quoted in Matthew 1:23)

Isaiah
7:14) Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

9:6) For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
9:7) Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.

11:1) There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit.
11:2) And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD.

52:13) Behold, my servant shall act wisely; he shall be high and lifted up, and shall be exalted.
52:14) As many were astonished at you- his appearance was so marred, beyond human semblance, and his form beyond that of the children of mankind-
52:15) so shall he sprinkle many nations; kings shall shut their mouths because of him; for that which has not been told them they see, and that which they have not heard they understand.

53:1) Who has believed what he has heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
53:2) For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him.
53:3) He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
53:4) Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.
53:5) But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.
53:6) All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
53:7) He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth.
53:8) By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living, stricken for the transgression of my people?
53:9) And they made his grave with the wicked and with a rich man in his death, although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth.
53:10) Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
53:11) Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities.
53:12) Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors.

Zechariah
9:9) Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
9:10) I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the war horse from Jerusalem; and the battle bow shall be cut off, and he shall speak peace to the nations; his rule shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.
9:11) As for you also, because of the blood of my covenant with you, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit.
9:12) Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you double.

Psalm
2:1) Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?
2:2) The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his anointed, saying,
2:3) "Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us."
2:4) He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision.
2:5) Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying,
2:6) "As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill."
2:7) I will tell of the decree: The LORD said to me, "You are my Son; today I have begotten you.
2:8) Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.
2:9) You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel."
2:10) Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth.
2:11) Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
2:12) Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

8:1) TO THE CHOIRMASTER: ACCORDING TO THE GITTITH. A PSALM OF DAVID. O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.
8:2) Out of the mouth of babes and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger.
8:3) When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
8:4) what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
8:5) Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.
8:6) You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet,
8:7) all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field,
8:8) the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas.
8:9) O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

16:1) A MIKTAM OF DAVID.Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
16:2) 'I say to the LORD, "You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you."
16:3) As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.
16:4) The sorrows of those who run after another god shall multiply; their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out or take their names on my lips.
16:5) The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot.
16:6) The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.
16:7) I bless the LORD who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me.
16:8) I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.
16:9) Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure.
16:10) For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption.
16:11) You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

22:1) TO THE CHOIRMASTER: ACCORDING TO THE DOE OF THE DAWN. A PSALM OF DAVID. My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning?
22:2) O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer, and by night, but I find no rest.
22:3) Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.
22:4) In you our fathers trusted; they trusted, and you delivered them.
22:5) To you they cried and were rescued; in you they trusted and were not put to shame.
22:6) But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by mankind and despised by the people.
22:7) All who see me mock me; they make mouths at me; they wag their heads;
22:8) "He trusts in the LORD; let him deliver him; let him rescue him, for he delights in him!"
22:9) Yet you are he who took me from the womb; you made me trust you at my mother's breasts.
22:10) On you was I cast from my birth, and from my mother's womb you have been my God.
22:11) Be not far from me, for trouble is near, and there is none to help.
22:12) Many bulls encompass me; strong bulls of Bashan surround me;
22:13) they open wide their mouths at me, like a ravening and roaring lion.
22:14) I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint; my heart is like wax; it is melted within my breast;
22:15) my strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to my jaws; you lay me in the dust of death.
22:16) For dogs encompass me; a company of evildoers encircles me; they have pierced my hands and feet-
22:17) I can count all my bones- they stare and gloat over me;
22:18) they divide my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots.
22:19) But you, O LORD, do not be far off! O you my help, come quickly to my aid!
22:20) Deliver my soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dog!
22:21) Save me from the mouth of the lion! You have rescued me from the horns of the wild oxen!
22:22) I will tell of your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will praise you:
22:23) You who fear the LORD, praise him! All you offspring of Jacob, glorify him, and stand in awe of him, all you offspring of Israel!

(Messiah would be David’s son and David's Lord)

22:44) "'The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet'?
22:45) If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?

Acts
2:25) For David says concerning him, "' I saw the Lord always before me, for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken;
2:26) therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; my flesh also will dwell in hope.
2:27) For you will not abandon my soul to Hades, or let your Holy One see corruption.
2:28) You have made known to me the paths of life; you will make me full of gladness with your presence.'
2:29) "Brothers, I may say to you with confidence about the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.
2:30) Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne,
2:31) he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption.
2:32) This Jesus God raised up, and of that we all are witnesses.
2:33) Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing.
2:34) For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says, "' The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand,

3:24) and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
3:28) For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law.

4:2) For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God.
4:3) For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness."

4:24) but for ours also. It will be counted to us who believe in him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord,
4:25) who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.

5:1) Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Exodus
20:1) And God spoke all these words, saying,
20:2) "I am the LORD your God,who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
20:3) "You shall have no other gods before me.
20:4) "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
20:5) You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me,
20:6) but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
20:7) "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
20:8) "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
20:9) Six days you shall labor, and do all your work,
20:10) but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates.
20:11) For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
20:12) "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.
20:13) "You shall not murder.
20:14) "You shall not commit adultery.
20:15) "You shall not steal.
20:16) "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
20:17) "You shall not covet your neighbor's house;
you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's."
20:18) Now when all the people saw the thunder and the flashes of lightning and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, the people were afraid and trembled, and they stood far off
20:19) and said to Moses, "You speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let God speak to us, lest we die."
20:20 Moses said to the people, "Do not fear, for God has come to test you, that the fear of him may be before you, that you may not sin."

Works/Law vs. Grace:

ESV.org

(What Role Do "Works of the law", Contribute to mans Righteousness?)

Galatians
2:16) and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.
2:21) if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.

3:10) For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse
3:11) Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for "The righteous shall live by faith."
3:12) But the law is not of faith, rather "The one who does them shall live by them."
3:13) Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us-for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree"-
3:14) so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.
3:21) Is the law then contrary to the promises of God? Certainly not! For if a law had been given that could give life, then righteousness would indeed be by the law.
3:22) But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
3:25) But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian,
3:26) for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.
3:27) For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
3:28) There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
3:29) And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise.

5:4) You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace.

Romans
3:19) Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God.
3:20) For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.
3:21) But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it-
3:22) the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction:
3:23) for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
3:24) and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
3:25) whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.
3:26) It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
3:27) Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By a law of works? No, but by the law of faith.
3:28) For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law.
3:29) Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also,
3:30) since God is one—who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.
3:31) Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law.

4:2) For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God.
4:14) For if it is the adherents of the law who are to be the heirs, faith is null and the promise is void.

8:3) For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,
8:4) in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

9:30) What shall we say, then? That Gentiles who did not pursue righteousness have attained it, that is, a righteousness that is by faith;
9:31) but that Israel who pursued a law that would lead to righteousness did not succeed in reaching that law.
9:32) Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were based on works.

10:4) For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

11:6) But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.

Ephesians
2:9) not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
2:10) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Titus
3:5) Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us

The Promise:

ESV.org

(Proto-Gospel)

Genesis
3:15) I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.

12:1) Now the LORD said to Abram, "Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you.
12:2) And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.
12:3) I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."
12:4) So Abram went, as the LORD had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.
12:5) And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people that they had acquired in Haran, and they set out to go to the land of Canaan. When they came to the land of Canaan,
12:6) Abram passed through the land to the place at Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. At that time the Canaanites were in the land.
12:7) Then the LORD appeared to Abram and said, "To your offspring I will give this land." So he built there an altar to the LORD, who had appeared to him.

15:1) After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: "Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great."
15:2) But Abram said, "O Lord GOD, what will you give me, for I continue childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?"
15:3) And Abram said, "Behold, you have given me no offspring, and a member of my household will be my heir."
15:4) And behold, the word of the LORD came to him: "This man shall not be your heir; your very own son shall be your heir."
15:5) And he brought him outside and said, "Look toward heaven, and number the stars, if you are able to number them." Then he said to him, "So shall your offspring be."
15:6) And he believed the LORD, and he counted it to him as righteousness.
15:7) And he said to him, "I am the LORD who brought you out from Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to possess."
15:8) But he said, "O Lord GOD, how am I to know that I shall possess it?"
15:9) He said to him, "Bring me a heifer three years old, a female goat three years old, a ram three years old, a turtledove, and a young pigeon."
15:10) And he brought him all these, cut them in half, and laid each half over against the other. But he did not cut the birds in half.
15:11) And when birds of prey came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away.
15:12) As the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell on Abram. And behold, dreadful and great darkness fell upon him.
15:13) Then the LORD said to Abram, "Know for certain that your offspring will be sojourners in a land that is not theirs and will be servants there, and they will be afflicted for four hundred years.

Exodus
2:23) During those many days the king of Egypt died, and the people of Israel groaned because of their slavery and cried out for help. Their cry for rescue from slavery came up to God.
2:24) And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.
2:25) God saw the people of Israel- and God knew.

19:6) and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel."

32:13) Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, your servants, to whom you swore by your own self, and said to them, 'I will multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have promised I will give to your offspring, and they shall inherit it forever.'"

Joshua
21:43) Thus the LORD gave to Israel all the land that he swore to give to their fathers. And they took possession of it, and they settled there.
21:44) And the LORD gave them rest on every side just as he had sworn to their fathers. Not one of all their enemies had withstood them, for the LORD had given all their enemies into their hands.
21:45) Not one word of all the good promises that the LORD had made to the house of Israel had failed; all came to pass.

Romans
4:13) For the promise to Abraham and his offspring that he would be heir of the world did not come through the law but through the righteousness of faith.
4:14) For if it is the adherents of the law who are to be the heirs, faith is null and the promise is void.
4:16) That is why it depends on faith, in order that the promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his offspring

9:6) But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel,
9:7) and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but "Through Isaac shall your offspring be named."
9:8) This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring.
9:9) For this is what the promise said: "About this time next year I will return and Sarah shall have a son."

Galatians
3:14) so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.
3:16) Now the promises were made to Abraham and to his offspring. It does not say, "And to offsprings," referring to many, but referring to one, "And to your offspring," who is Christ.

Abiding:

John
6:56) Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.

15:4) Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.
15:5) I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

1John
2:28) And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming

3:23) And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us.
3:24) Whoever keeps his commandments abides in him, and he in them. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.

4:14) And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.
4:15) Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

Matthew
6:6) But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
6:7) "And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.
6:8) Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
6:9) Pray then like this: "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
6:10) Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
6:11) Give us this day our daily bread,
6:12) and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
6:13) And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
6:14) For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you,
6:15) but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

7:19) For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing.
7:20) Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me.
7:21) So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand.
7:22) For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being,

Genesis
1:3) And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.
1:4) And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness.
1:5) God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.
1:6) And God said, "Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters."
1:7) And God made the expanse and separated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse. And it was so.
1:8) And God called the expanse Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, the second day.
1:9) And God said, "Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear." And it was so.
1:10) God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good.
1:11) And God said, "Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth." And it was so.
1:12) The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
1:13) And there was evening and there was morning, the third day.
1:14) And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years,
1:15) and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth." And it was so.
1:16) And God made the two great lights- the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night- and the stars.
1:17) And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth,
1:18) to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
1:19) And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.
1:20) And God said, "Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the heavens."
1:21) So God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
1:22) And God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth."
1:23) And there was evening and there was morning, the fifth day.
1:24) And God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds- livestock and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds." And it was so.
1:25) And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
1:26) Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
1:27) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
1:28) And God blessed them. And God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth."
1:29) And God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.
1:30) And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food." And it was so.
1:31) And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.
2:1) Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
