The Mares

Our mares are from a variety of backgrounds, such as APSB, Palouse and American miniature horse. Colours include black, bay, brown, pinto, grey, chestnut and taffy. Sizes range from 79 to 87cm. Although we aim to run 10 top quality mares the number is usually closer to 20. (How can you sell these lovely ponies who are part of the family?) All are chosen for temperament and conformation as well as colour and size. We are currently trying very hard to reduce our herd to cut our workload. It has been the hardest thing we have ever had to do. Have a look at the For Sale page to see how we ended up.

Chandglen Mandy

Bev's favourite, Chandglen Mandy. Very successful show pony in her own right and Dam of Merry Magdalene who is out and about in the show ring now. Watch for Merry in the 2004 futurity.(Which she won) See her this year in the 2006 Maturity. She has continued to do very well. Her full sister 'Little Pippi' has gone to Perth and is continuing the tradition making her new owners very proud!

Jiminy Little Miss Muffet

Our darling! The sweetest natured mare imaginable. She unfortunately lost an eye a year or so ago but has never looked back (pardon the pun!). She continues to produce little babies like Jiminy Sundance Kid. This season 06 she has produced a little chestnut filly who will be retained at stud.

Tonka Dana Scully

Isn't she georgous? Dam of our lovely taffy filly Jiminy Dreamcatcher, we have hopes for a colt of the same quality in the future. She will stay with Sterling Contender to hopefully do this soon. A good non fading black her coat in the summer is really spectacular!

Jiminy Limerick

Limerick is a favourite too. Loves everyone and is the only pony who will drink wormer the way men drink beer!

Dougdale Jedda

Jedda may not look like much here but don't be fooled! She is the Dam of Jiminy Jarmbi and Jiminy Ernie Dingo. Couldn't do much better than that eh?

Misty Mountain Goddess

Misty,as we call her is a newcomer to Jiminy, she came to us from the Geelong auction where we got a bit carried away with 'Auction Fever'. But she has given us a lovely chestnut taffy colt who is going to a good home as a future stallion. We are hoping to breed more taffies with her from Contender or Sterling Paper Money.

Jiminy Tim Tam

She is hiding her quality under a ton of fuzz! A lovely little girl who will have the best foals we are sure. She went to Pippen this year. We are really looking for something special from her. Just shows how out of date we are Tim Tam had a little filly last year to Pip and this year had an interesting little ?taffy filly to Contender. She will be retained at stud.

Jiminy Jarmbi

Jarmbi has given up the show scene for a life in the paddock. She was joined to Contender this season and is looking for the pitter patter of little hooves in the spring. The only problem is none of the other mares will talk to her. Think she is stuck up after her theatrical career. However she still says she likes it better this way. (Gina will probably need valium in the foaling season!) She has now produced two little fillies one of whom is for sale as a yearling and the other as a weanling. Both are pretty and will be grey like their dam. See them on the for Sale page.

Neehi Park Elysium

The latest addition to our litle group of taffies "Lissie" is a lovely quiet and friendly little mare and will be joined to Sterling Paper Money to, we hope, produce other little taffies.

Domino Downs Pixie

Another newcomer to our family Pixie will be joined to Pippin in the hopes of producing some broken coloured foals.
