Jimbo Fights the War on Tiredness F ollowing a "deliberate and unwarranted" attack on himself by sleepiness, Jimbo vowed to undertake a vast War on Tiredness last week. So far he claims to have been successful, despite some apparent "really weird dreams" Sunday night. Jimbo admits, however, that those dreams might have in fact been alcohol-scarred memories of reality. "It could have just been one of the Sunday evening freak-outs I experience after my 67th can of beer," he said.Jimbo's strategy in this war is one of dangerous infiltration. "To defeat tiredness, you have to think like tiredness," he said. "Or in this case, succumb to it." Jimbo allows himself to fall asleep, and about eight hours later, he emerges victorious. Tiredness no longer pesters him at that point. One aspect of this war that troubles Jimbo is related to his hobby of chronic alcoholism. "Alcohol does not solve my problem with tiredness as it solves all my other problems," he reported. "If this war does not end soon, I might go crazy and suddenly vaporize." |
