Jimbo Rides On Maiden Voyage of Machine Blimp
Jimbo was one of the first to experience flight aboard
the Machine Blimp, a new airship. He reported that his flight included
a bag of excellent peanuts.
The Machine Blimp is an expanded version of Machine,
a beer shack regular. Machine is a foul-mouthed robot who entertains as a
comedian. Jimbo tells the story of how Machine became a blimp: “Well,
it was a slow day at the shack, and I was about to fall asleep, when I heard
a pop and a hiss, and next thing I knew I was not in the beer shack any
more.”
The noise Jimbo heard was that of Machine’s rapid
expansion to a helium-filled object 75 times his normal size. The expansion
leveled the beer shack, and damage caused by the incident was estimated to
be $8.45.
Jimbo said that his experience on the Machine Blimp
was enjoyable. The ride was smooth, he said, and the accommodations were
very comfortable. Only four of the thirty-five passengers on board fell out
of the blimp.
