What went wrong with the AHPA and Parks Dept relationship/
Why aren't we going back to Gadsden in 2010? Losing the Gadsden
courts will be a tragedy for the AHPA
I wish someone would step up and take Sonny's place, things just
don't function without someone being in charge, What use to be our
largest club is no longer a club. Hope someone has some idea's as to
what can be done, well actually what we need is not idea's but what we
really need is for someone to step up, take charge and assume some
leadership responsibility and do something to save those courts.
AND THAT IS ALL I'M GOING TO SAY ABOUT THAT
-------------------------------------------------------
I believe we had a good year, the members were down, the attendance
was down. But you know it took me a long time to come to GRIPS with
this, I have finally learned (It took a long time) that no amount of
worrying will increase our membership nor attendance, there is not a
lot that we can do about it if people don't wan't come out is there!
-------------------------------------------
BALLOTS.
The ballots were prepared and placed in envelopes by the sec-treas
There was a total of 69 ballots prepared and the names of the 69
members were placed on the envelopes. We had one new menber that joined
the previous Sat plus Ottie for a total of 69
The ballots were given out during the day and filled out by the
individuals and placed in the ballot box.
Mike Harrison and Glen Daugherty counted the ballots and turned the
results into the ses-trea to be read at the state meeting

----------------------------------------------------
I read this the other day and thought is was kanda cute----
BE WHAT YOU ARE AND SAY WHAT YOU FEEL BECAUSE THOSE THAT MATTER
DO NOT MIND AND THOSE THAT MIND DO NOT MATTER
-----------------------------------------------------
I have learned a lot the last 25 years while serving as the AHPA
sec-treas. One thing is that it doesn't hurt to have thick skin --
it comes in handy sometimes because you cannot please everyone, and
some few people you cannot ever please no matter how hard you try
But I love horseshoes and have made a lot of good friends all over
the USA and Canada,(especially AL.) and that makes it all worth while
------------------------------------------------------
HAVE A GREAT WINTER AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY MANY
TIMES OVER --AND MAXINE AND I WISH YOU ALL THE VERY BEST
