1. Loaded longboard, Randall 180's, Gumballs. BEST all around downtown cruising, long distance cruising, downhill carving board. Same physics as a snowboard, vertical laminate, don't balk at the $100 deck price, it is absolutely worth it.

2. Carve Board. BEST carving machine, beats the Loaded only in that it feels most like a surfboard and wheels STICK to the pavement in each turn. Not at all recommended for cruising, dies on flats. One of the heaviest boards, but addictive as hell, you forget the weight and just keep charging up the hill for the next run.

3. FlexDex 5-foot longboard, Randall 180's, 65mm NoSkools. Nice, fast carving deck, could almost throw this in the water and ride some real waves. Incredibly flexy due to the length. Rips up hills with abandon and maintains good speed in the flats.

4. RollsRolls carbon/kevlar long distance cruising board, Randall 180's, 101 Flywheels. FAST, comfortable cruising board for the 20-30 mile runs. Not as versatile as the Loaded, turns are a little stiffer. Deck itself is super lightweight. Unique German-made design, with all wheel fenders, making it usable as a RAIN board which is great for Seattle. Must disassemble and oil the bearings weekly, they rust up in just days.
