5)

1: And if a soul sin (see 4:2), and hear (=because he heard) the voice of swearing (=adjuration), and is a witness, whether he has seen or known of it; if he does not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity (=perverseness, Heb. vh, from the root to be bent, or crooked. English wrong, i.e. wrung out of course, expresses it. Cp. 1 Sam.20:30. 2 Sam.19:19. 1 Kings 8:47. Job 33:37 &c.).
2: Or if a soul touch any unclean thing, whether it be a carcase of an unclean beast, or a carcase of unclean cattle, or the carcase of unclean creeping things, and if it be hidden from him (i.e if he forgot his uncleaness. This clause "and if", &c., is omitted in the Sept. and included in v.3); he also shall be unclean, and guilty.
3: Or if he touch the uncleanness of man, whatsoever uncleanness it be that a man shall be defiled withal, and it be hid from him; when he knows of it, then he shall be guilty.
4: Or if a soul swear, pronouncing with his lips (=speaking heedlessly) to do evil (Heb. ra, wicked, injurious. From its root, which indicates its nature as breaking up all that is good or desirable; injurious to all other. In Greek poneros, evil, or kakos, bad. Hence especially of moral depravity and corruption, and lewdness. Englsh "good-for-nothing". See 1 Sam.17:28, naughty 2 Kings 2:19. Prov.20:14. Jer.24:2. Put here for the punishment due to it), or to do good ("evil....good" to include all human actions. Cp. Gen.24:50; 31:29. Num.24:13), whatsoever it be that a man shall pronounce with an oath, and it be hid from him; when he knows of it, then he shall be guilty in one of these.
5: And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he has sinned in that thing:
6: And he shall bring his trespass offering (see 4:3) to the Lord (Yahaveh) for his sin which he has sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin. (See Ex.26:33)

7: And if he be not able to bring a lamb, then he shall bring for his trespass, which he has committed, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, to Yahaveh; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering.
8: And he shall bring them to the priest, who shall offer that which is for the sin offering first, and wring off his head from his neck, but shall not divide it asunder:
9: And he shall splash of the blood of the sin offering upon the side of the altar; and the rest of the blood shall be wrung out at the bottom of the altar: it is a sin offering.
10: And he shall offer the second for a burnt offering, according to the manner (see 1:14 &c.): and the priest shall make an atonement for him for his sin which he has sinned, and it shall be forgiven him.
11: But if he be not able to bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he that sinned shall bring for his admittance offering (for the poor only a little flour. Cp. 4:23 & 28. All equally forgiven. Cp. 4:26,31 & 5:15) the tenth part of an ephah (Heb. 1/10 = ohmer =a heap = aprox. 3/4 gal. dry) of fine flour for a sin offering; he shall put no oil upon it, neither shall he put any frankincense thereon: for it is a sin offering.
12: Then shall he bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it, even a memorial thereof, and burn it (as incence) on the altar, according to the offerings made by fire to Yehovah: it is a sin offering.
13: And the priest shall make an atonement for him as touching his sin that he has sinned in one of these (specified in vv.1-4. Cp v.5), and it shall be forgiven him: and the remnant shall be the priest's, as a meat offering.

14: And the Lord (Yahaveh) spoke to Moses, saying, (This formula denotes another communication made at a different time, and gives a further development of the laws of the trespass offering. Note that in this book Yahaveh "spoke" at 35 "sundry times", and in 10 "divers manners".
1. To Moses alone [5:14; 6:1,19; 8:1; 14:1; 22:26; 23:26].
2. To Moses, to speak to Aaron alone [16:1].
3. To Moses, to speak to "Aaron and his sons" [6:8,24; 22:1].
4. To Moses, to speak to "Aaron and his sons, and to all the
children of Israel" [17:1; 21:16 {cp.v.24}; 22:17].
5. To Moses, to speak to "the priests, the sons of Aaron" [21:1].
6. To Moses, to speak to "the children of Israel" [1:1; 4:1;
7:22,28; 12:1; 18:1; 20:1; 23:1,9,23; 24:1,13; 25:1; 27:1].
7. To Moses, to speak "to all the congregation of the children of
Israel" [19:1].
8. To Moses and Aaron co-jointly [13:1; 14:23].
9. To Moses and Aaron, to speak to "the children of Israel"
[11:1; 15:1].
10. To Aaron alone [10:8].
The reason for these distinctions will be seen from the respectivecontexts. The number 10 = ordinal perfection, and the number 35 = 7 x 5 = spiritual perfection times grace.
)
15: If a soul commit a trespass (Heb. mal, to act covertly; to be faithless, especially in covenant matters, either with God [Lev.26:40. Num.31:16. Deut.32:51 &c], or between husband and wife [Num.5:12,27]. Not the same word as invv.6,7,1516 and below in this verse. Also means treachery, breach of trust, also rendered trangression. It is used of Achan [Josh.7:1; 22:20]. Cp.Josh.22:16. 2 Chron.26:18; 28:22. Ezra 9:2,4. Neh.13:27 &c.), and sin through ignorance, in the holy things of Yahaveh (such as firstfruits, firstbrn &c. Ex.28:28. See Ex.3:5); then he shall bring for his trespass to the Lord (Yahaveh) a ram without blemish out of the flocks, with your estimation (=valuation, made here by Moses, transferred by him to the priests. See 27:8,12. Num.18:16) by shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary (aprox.1/2 oz.), for a trespass offering:
16: And he shall make amends for the harm that he has done in the holy thing, and shall add the fifth part thereto (in trespass in holy things sacrifice comes first [5:15], and addition afterwards. In human afairs the addition comes first [6:5], and sacrifice follows [6:7]), and give it to the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering, and it shall be forgiven him.
17: And if a soul sin, and commit any (=any of these things specified in v.15) of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of Yehovah; though he knew it not (this effectually disposes of the fallacy that it only sincerity that matters. Note the repitition of the words in 17-19 to emphasis this), yet is he guilty, and shall bear his perverseness (see 5:1).
18: And he shall bring a ram without blemish out of the flock, with your valuation, for a trespass offering, to the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his ignorance wherein he erred (see 4:13) and knew it not, and it shall be forgiven him.
19: It is a trespass offering: he has certainly trespassed against the Lord (Yahaveh).

6)

1: And Yahaveh spoke to Moses, saying, (Cp. 5:14. 6:1-7 belong to chapter 5, according to the Structure)
2: "If a soul sin, and commit a trespass (see 5:15. All sin is viewed as "against Yahaveh". Cp. Ps.51:4) against the Lord (Yahaveh), and lie to his neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep (=a deposit, otherwise treasure was generally hidden in the ground), or in fellowship (=in pledge, Heb. givingthe hand, for pledging), or in a thing taken away by violence, or has deceived his neighbour;
3: Or have found that which was lost, and lies concerning it, and swears falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein:
4: Then it shall be, because he has sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he has deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found,
5: Or all that about which he has sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in the principal, and shall add the fifth part more thereto (=20%. Zacchaeus gave much more - Luke 19:8), and give it to him to whom it appertains, in the day (=when) of his trespass offering.
6: And he shall bring his trespass offering to Yehovah , a ram without blemish out of the flock, with your valuation, for a trespass offering, to the priest:
7: And the priest shall make an atonement for him before Yahaveh: and it shall be forgiven him for any thing of all that he has done in trespassing therein."

6:8-13. The Law of the Burnt Offering.

(Note the order of the "offerings", and their "laws". In the former [God's side] "peace" made, comes in center. In the latter "sin" comes before "peace" experienced. See 7:11).

8: And the Lord (Yehovah) spoke to Moses, saying,
9: "Command Aaron and his sons, saying, 'This is the law of the burnt offering: It is the burnt offering, because of the burning (=kept burning, Heb. ykad, to burn as an ordinary culinary fire) upon the altar all night until the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be burning in it.
10: And the priest shall put on his linen garment (
see 8:13. Ex.28:4,40; 29:5-10), and his linen breeches shall he put upon his flesh, and take up the ashes which the fire has consumed with the burnt offering (="the offerings of Yahaveh) on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar.
11: And he shall put off his garments, and put on other garments, and carry forth the ashes outside the camp to a clean place.
12: And the fire upon the altar shall be kept burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood (Heb. bar, burn as fuel, consume) on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offerings.
13: The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out. (This fire was originally from heaven [9:24], supernatual fire. Only this fire could be used to set fire to the incence on the golden altar. So only those that have atonement can worship. Ever burning until rekindled by a special descent. This is the origin of the perpetual light in Roman Catholic worship. It ws preserved till the estruction of the temple of Nebuchadnezzar; was one of five things lacking in the second temple.)

14-23. The Law of the Meal Offering.

14: And this is the law of the meat offering (in 2:1-3 we have the directions. In 6:1-4-18 we have the law, and addtional directions): the sons of Aaron shall offer it before the Lord (Yehovah), before the altar.
15: And he (i.e. one of the sons whose turn it was) shall take of it his handful, of the flour of the meal offering, and of the oil thereof, and all the frankincense which is upon the meal offering, and shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet satisfaction, even the memorial of it, to the Lord (Yahaveh) .
16: And the remainder thereof shall Aaron and his sons eat: with unleavened bread shall it be eaten in the holy place; in the court of the tent of the assembly they shall eat it.
17: It shall not be baken with leaven. I have given it to them for their portion of My offerings made by fire; it is most holy, as is the sin offering, and as the trespass offering.
18: All the males among the children of Aaron shall eat of it. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations concerning the offerings of the Lord (Yahaveh) made by fire: every one that touches them shall be holy. (i.e. not be turned holy but be holy to touch.)
19: And the Lord (Yahaveh) spoke to Moses, saying,
{20: "This is the admittance offering of Aaron and of his sons (this is explained in Heb.7:27. Note the Parenthesis concerning Aaron), which they shall offer to Yehovah in the day when he is anointed (see Gen.2:17; and cp. 8:35; 9:1); the tenth part of an ephah (3/4 gal.) of fine flour for a meal offering perpetual, half of it in the morning, and half thereof at night.
21: In a pan it shall be made with oil; and when it is baken, you shall bring it in (well kneaded): and the baken pieces of the meal offering shall you offer for a sweet satisfaction to the Lord (Yahaveh).
22: And the priest of his sons that is anointed (see 4:3) in his stead shall offer it: it is a statute for ever to Yehovah, it shall be wholly burnt. (Because the priest did not eat his own)
23: For every meal offering for the priest shall be wholly burnt: it shall not be eaten."}

6:24-7:10. The Law of the Sin Offering.

24: And the Lord (Yahaveh) spoke to Moses, saying,
25: "Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, 'This is the law of the sin offering (Heb. cht, and implies offering as in Gen.4:7): In the place where the burnt offering is killed shall the sin offering be killed before Yehovah: it is most holy. (This comes out in the "law" of the sin offering, because of the Antitype. See Ex.3:5)
26: The priest that offers it for sin shall eat it (because blood not taken within the holy place. Cp. 10:16-20, and see 7:6. This explains Heb.13:11): in the holy place shall it be eaten, in the court of the tent of the assembly.
27: Whatsoever shall touch the flesh thereof shall be holy: and when there is splashed of the blood thereof upon any garment, you shall wash that whereon it was splashed in the holy place.
28: But the earthen vessel wherein it is sodden shall be broken: and if it be sodden in a bronze pot, it shall be both scoured, and rinsed in water.
29: All the males among the priests shall eat thereof: it is most holy.
30: And no sin offering, whereof any of the blood is brought into the tent of the assembly to reconcile withal in the holy place, shall be eaten: it shall be burnt in the fire. (Because the blood was taken into the holy place. Cp. Lev.10:16-20. In This case it was to be wholly burnt, 4:26. This explains Heb.13:11. There were 8 offerings to be eaten by the priests in the precincts of the holy place:
1. The flesh of the sin offering - 4:26; 6:26.
2. The flesh of the trespass offering - 7:6.
3. The peace offering of the assembly - 7:14,15.
4. The remainder of the 'omer - 2:3-10.
5. The meal offering of the Israelites - 2:3-10.
6. The two loaves - 13:19,20; 23:20.
7. The showbread - 23:9.
8. The leper's log of oil - 14:10-13.
The number 8 denotes the Dominical number dealing with, The Lords names, The Lords People, and The Lords works.
)

7:1-10. The Law of the Trespass Offering.

(Supplementing 5:1-13.)

7)

1: Likewise this is the law of the trespass offering: it is most holy. (See 6:25 & Ex.3:5)
2: In the place (i.e. the north side, cp. 1:11) where they kill the burnt offering shall they (=the people who bring them) kill the trespass offering: and the blood thereof shall he sprinkle round about upon the altar.
3: And he shall bring near of it all the fat thereof (Heb. krab, for these regulations see 3:3,4,8,9); the rump, and the fat that covers the inwards,
4: And the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the flap that is above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away:
5: And the priest shall burn (i.e. as incence) them upon the altar for an offering made by fire to the Lord (Yahaveh): it is a trespass offering.
6: Every male among the priests shall eat thereof: it shall be eaten in the holy place (or court): it is most holy.
7: As the sin offering is, so is the trespass offering: there is one law for them (see 6:27,28): the priest that makes atonement therewith shall have it. (See Ex.29:33)
8: And the priest that offers any man's burnt offering, even the priest shall have to himself the skin of the burnt offering which he has offered.
9: And all the meal offering that is baken in the oven, and all that is dressed in the fryingpan, and in the pan, shall be the priest's that offers it. (Except the memorial part, 2:4-10. Cp. 1 Cor.9:13,14. Gal.6:6 is based on this principal.)
10: And every meal offering, mingled with oil, and dry, shall all the sons of Aaron have, one as much as another.

11-34. The Law of the Peace Offering.

11: And this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which one shall offer to the Lord (Yahaveh). (I.e. specific and fuller directions given to the priests, additional to those given to the People in 3:1-15. So in the law of the sin offering 6:24-30, p. with 4:24-31; the law of the trespass offering 7:1:1-, cp. with 5:1-13. It will be noted from the Structure that the peace offering comes before the sin offerings; but here, in "the law" of the offerings, the peace offerings comes last. This because it has to do with the communion of the oferer; and this follows at the end of all, to show that this communion is based on, and must flow from, a full knowledge of all that which the type forshow. Not until we have done with our sins and ourselves can we delight in Christ. See 6:8. Cp. Col.1:12-14.)
12: If he offer it for a thanksgiving (for special mercies recieved, is enumerated in Ps.107. This is the sacrifice alluded to in Heb.13:15), then he shall offer with the slain sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mingled with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mingled with oil, of fine flour, fried.
13: Besides the cakes, he shall offer for his admittance offering leavened bread with the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offerings.
14: And of it he shall offer one out of the whole admittance offering for an heave offering to the Lord (Yahaveh), and it shall be the priest's that splashes the blood of the peace offerings.
15: And the flesh of the slain sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day that it is offered; he shall not leave any of it until the morning. (In he second temple, limited to midnight.)
16: But if the slain sacrifice of his admittance offering be a vow, or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offers his slain sacrifice: and on the morrow also the remainder of it shall be eaten:
17: But the remainder of the flesh of the slain sacrifice on the third day shall be burnt with fire. (Heb. sraph, is used of burning up, or rather down, the sin offering, because nothing ascended up to God in that offering.)
18: And if any of the flesh of the slain sacrifice of his peace offerings be eaten at all on the third day, it shall not be accepted, neither shall it be imputed to him that offers it: it shall be an abomination, and the soul that eats of it shall bear his perverseness (for punishment).
19: And the flesh that touches any unclean thing shall not be eaten; it shall be burnt with fire: and as for the flesh, all that be clean shall eat thereof.
20: But the soul that eats of the flesh of the slain sacrifice of peace offerings, that pertain to Yehovah, having his uncleanness upon him (see 11:8-44; 15:1-33), even that soul shall be cut off from his people. (This phrase variously translated, occurs in Hebrew, 6 times in Lev. here, 7:21,25,27; 19:8; 23:29. Cp. the othe phrase "...from My presence". See 22:3.)
21: Moreover the soul that shall touch any unclean thing, as the uncleanness of man, or any unclean beast, or any abominable unclean thing (=anything an abomination to Yehovah, some codices have "unclean reptiles"), and eat of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which pertain to the Lord (Yehovah), even that soul shall be cut off from his people.' "
22: And the Lord (Yahaveh) spoke to Moses, saying, (Indicating explanations and restrictions in vv.22-27, additional to those given in 3:17.)
23: "Speak (used only of the non-savor offerings, see 5:14, "Yahaveh called and spoke reagarding he sweet savor offering", 1:1) to the sons of Israel, saying, 'You all shall eat no manner of fat, of ox, or of sheep, or of goat.
24: And the fat of the beast that dies of itself, and the fat of that which is torn with beasts, may be used in any other use (e.g. making candles, &c.): but you all shall in no way eat of it.
25: For whosoever eateth the fat of the beast, of which men offer an offering made by fire to the Lord (Yehovah), even the soul that eats it shall be cut off from his people.
26: Moreover you all shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl or of beast, in any of your dwellings.
27: Whatsoever soul it be that eats any manner of blood, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.' "
28: And the Lord (Yehovah) spoke to Moses, saying,
29: "Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'He that offers the sacrifice of his peace offerings to Yahaveh shall bring his admittance offering to the Lord (Yahaveh) of the sacrifice of his peace offerings.
30: His own hands (i.e. the owner or offerer) shall bring the offerings made by fire to Yehovah, the fat with the breast, it shall he bring, that the breast may be waved for a wave offering before the Lord (Yahaveh). (See Ex.29:27.)
31: And the priest shall burn the fat upon the altar: but the breast shall be Aaron's and his sons'.
32: And the right shoulder shall you all give to the priest for an heave offering of the sacrifices of your peace offerings. (See Ex.29:27.)
33: He among the sons of Aaron, that offers the blood of the peace offerings, and the fat, shall have the right shoulder for his part.
34: For the wave breast and the heave shoulder have I taken of the sons of Israel from off the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them to Aaron the priest and to his sons by a statute for ever from among the sons of Israel. (i.e as long as the priesthood lasts.)
35: This is what pertains to the anointing of Aaron, and of the anointing of his sons, out of the offerings made by fire to the Lord (Yehovah), in the day when he presented them to minister to the Lord (Yehovah) in the priest's office;
36: Which the Lord (Yahaveh) commanded to be given them of the sons of Israel, in the day that He anointed them, by a statute for ever throughout their generations.
37: This is the law (verses 37 & 38 sum up chapters 1-8) of the burnt offering (1:3-17 and 6:8-13), of the meal offering (2:1-16 and 6:14-18), and of the sin offering (4:1-35 and 6:24-30), and of the trespass offering (5:1-13 and 5:14-19 and 6:1-7 and 7:1-10), and of the consecrations (6:19-23), and of the sacrifice of the peace offerings (3:1-17 and 7:11-21, 28-36);
38: Which the Lord (Yahaveh) commanded (subject to if in Lev.1:2) Moses in mount Sinai, in the day that He commanded the sons of Israel to offer their admittance offering to the Lord (Yahaveh), in the wilderness of Sinai.

1: And (note the many "ands" throughout the chapter for emphasising each particular act) Yahaveh spoke to Moses, saying, (Indicating a new subject. See 5:14. The ritual is prescribed in Ex.28:1-43 and 29:1-39. Now the appointment to the priestly office resumes the instructions broken off in Exodus.)
2: "Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and a bullock for the sin offering, and two rams, and a basket of unleavened bread;
3: And gather you all the congregation together to the entrance of the tent of the assembly."

4-30. Obedience.

4: And Moses did as the Lord (Yahaveh) commanded him; and the assembly was gathered together to the entrance of the tent of the assembly.
5: And Moses said to the congregation, "This is the thing which the Lord (Yahaveh) commanded to be done." (See Ex.28:1-43; 29:1-37; now made known to the People.)
6: And Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water. (= the "divers washings" of Heb.6:2. After this, all ceremonial washings done by the person for themselves. These are rendered "baptisms" in Sept. of Lev.11:25,40; 17:15,16; 14:8; 15:8,13,16,21,22,27. Extended to "clothes", Lev.11:25 &c.)
7: And he put upon him the coat, and girded him with the girdle (not the band of the ephod called the "embroidered girdle", but the one of needlework, 16:4 and Ex.28:39), and clothed him with the robe, and put the ephod upon him, and he girded him with the embroidered girdle of the ephod, and bound it to him therewith.
8: And he put the breastplate upon him: also (thus distinguishing these two stones from the twelve stones, which were quite distict. Cp. Ex.25:7) he put in the breastplate the Urim and the Thummim. (see Ex.28:30)
9: And he put the turban upon his head; also upon the turban, even upon his forefront, did he put the golden plate, the holy crown (see Ex.3:5); as the Lord (Yehovah) commanded Moses.
10: And Moses took the anointing oil (see Ex.30:26-30; 40:9-11, and cp. Ex. 30:23-25), and anointed the dwelling place (of Yehovah) and all that was therein, and sanctified them. (=set them apart, see Ex.29:37; 30:29-30)
11: And he splashed thereof upon the altar seven times, and anointed the altar (cp. Matt.23:19) and all his vessels, both the laver and his base, to set them apart.
12: And he poured (not touched with the finger, as in the case of the common priest, but profusely poured. See Ps.133:2) of the anointing oil upon Aaron's head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.

13: And Moses brought Aaron's sons (these could not be invested till after Aaron. Cp. John 17:19), and put coats upon them, and girded them with girdles, and put (Heb. = bound) bonnets upon them; as Yehovah commanded Moses.

14: And he brought the bullock for the sin offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the bullock for the sin offering.
15: And he slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it (set it apart), to make reconciliation upon it.
16: And he took all the fat that was upon the inwards, and flap above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and Moses burned (as incence, i.e. upwards to God) it upon the altar.
17: But the bullock, and his hide, his flesh, and his dung, he burnt down (i.e. not to rise to God) with fire outside the camp (cp. Ex.29:14. Lev.4:12,18,21;6:11; 16:27. John 19:17,18. Acts 7:58); as Yahaveh commanded Moses.
18: And he brought the ram for the burnt offering (see Ex.29:15-18): and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.
19: And he killed it; and Moses cast (not the same word as v.15) the blood upon the altar round about.
20: And he cut the ram into pieces; and Moses burnt (as incence) the head, and the pieces, and the fat.
21: And he washed (see v.6) the inwards and the legs in water; and Moses burnt the whole ram upon the altar: it was a burnt sacrifice for a savor of satisfaction (see 1:9, and Gen.8:21), and an offering made by fire to the Lord (Yehovah); according as the Lord (Yahaveh) commanded Moses.
22: And he brought the other ram (mentioned in v.2. See Ex.29:19-24), the ram of consecration: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.
23: And he slew (same word as "killed" in vv.15,19) it; and Moses took of the blood of it, and put it upon the tip of Aaron's right ear, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot. (To point out listeing, the working, and the walking in he ways of Yahaveh.)
24: And he brought Aaron's sons, and Moses put of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of their right hands, and upon the great toes of their right feet: and Moses splashed the blood upon the altar round about.
25: And he took the fat (see Ex.29:22-25), and the rump (=the fat tail, see 3:9, cp. Ex.29:22), and all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the flap above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and the right shoulder:
26: And out of the basket of unleavened bread, that was before the Lord (Yahaveh), he took one unleavened cake, and a cake of oiled bread, and one wafer, and put them on the fat, and upon the right shoulder:
27: And he put all upon Aaron's hands, and upon his sons' hands, and waved them for a wave offering before the Lord (Yahaveh). (See Ex.29:27)
28: And Moses took them from off their hands, and burnt them (as incence) on the altar upon the burnt offering: they were consecrations (cp. 6:19-23) for a savour of satisfaction: it is an offering made by fire to the Lord (Yahaveh).
29: And Moses took the breast, and waved it for a wave offering before the Lord (Yahaveh): for of the ram of consecration it was Moses' part; as the Lord (Yahaveh) commanded Moses.
30: And Moses took of the anointing oil, and of the blood which was upon the altar, and splashed it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon his sons' garments with him; and sanctified Aaron, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons' garments with him.

31: And Moses said to Aaron and to his sons, "Boil the flesh at the entrance of the tent of the assembly: and there eat it with the bread that is in the basket of consecrations, as I have been commanded, saying, 'Aaron and his sons shall eat it.'
32: And that which remains of the flesh and of the bread shall you all burn down with fire.
33: And you all shall not go out of the entrance of the tent of the assembly in seven days (Aaron consecrated on the eigth day, after waiting seven days), until the days of your consecration (setting apart) be at an end: for seven days shall he consecrate you. (See Ex.29:41)
34: As he has done this day, so the Lord (Yahaveh) has commanded to do, to make an atonement for you. (See Ex.29:33.)
35: Therefore shall you all abide at the entrance of the tent of the assembly day and night seven days, and keep the charge of the Lord (Yahaveh), that you all die not: for so I am commanded."

21-22nd thru 27-28th March, 1490 B.C.
