21: This is the sum of the dwelling place, even of the dwelling place of testimony, as it was accounted, according to the commandment of Moses, for the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, son to Aaron the priest.

22: And Bezaleel (cp. 31:27; 35:30-36:7) the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that Yahaveh commanded Moses.
23: And with him was Aholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver, and a skillful weaver, and an embroiderer in blue, and in purple, and in scarlet, and fine linen.

24: All the gold that was occupied for the work in all the work of the holy place, even the gold of the wave offering (see 29:27), was twenty and nine talents, and seven hundred and thirty shekels (aprox. 5,570 lbs.), after the shekel (or weight) of the sanctuary.

39)

1: And of the blue, and purple, and scarlet, they made cloths of service, to do service in the holy place (see 3:5), and made the holy garments for Aaron; according as Yahaveh commanded Moses. (Note this in the sevenfold repitition of the words "according as Yahaveh commanded Moses" in this record of the completion of the work: and again in the work of the setting up of the tabernacle, ch.40. Thus, in 39:1,5,7,21,26,29, & 31; an din 40:18,21,23,25,27,29, & 32, the former is followed by the blessing of Moses, and the latter by the blessings of Yehovah)
2: And he made the ephod (see 28:6) of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen (see 35:23).
3: And they did beat the gold into thin plates, and cut it into threads (or cords), to work it in the blue, and in the purple, and in the scarlet, and in the fine linen, with skillful work.
4: They made shoulderpieces for it, to couple it together: by the two edges was it coupled together.
5: And the embroidered girdle of his ephod, that was upon it, was of the same, according to the work thereof; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen; according as Yahaveh commanded Moses.

6: And they wrought onyx stones inclosed in sockets, for the precious stones, of gold, graven, as signets are graven, with the names of the sons of Israel.
7: And he put them on the shoulders of the ephod, that they should be stones for a memorial to the sons of Israel; according as Yehovah commanded Moses.
8: And he made the breastplate (see 28:15-21, always used of the Aaronic breastplate except Lev.8:8) of the work of a skillful devisor, like the work of the ephod; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
9: It was foursquare; they made the breastplate double: a span (10 1/2") was the length thereof, and a span the breadth thereof, being doubled.
10: And they set in it four rows of stones: the first row was a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this was the first row.
11: And the second row, an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.
12: And the third row, a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst.
13: And the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper: they were inclosed in the sockets, for precious stone, of gold in their inclosings.
14: And the stones were according to the names of the sons of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet, every man with his name, according to the twelve tribes. (The names according to the tribes. On the shoulders according to their births)
15: And they made upon the breastplate chains (see 28:31-35) at the ends, of wreathen work of pure gold.
16: And they made two sockets, for the precious stones, of gold, and two gold rings; and put the two rings in the two ends of the breastplate.

18: And the two ends of the two wreathen chains they fastened in the two sockets for the precious stones, and put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod, before it.
19: And they made two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, upon the border of it, which was on the side of the ephod inward.
20: And they made two other golden rings, and put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the forepart of it, over against the other coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod.
21: And they did bind the breastplate by his rings unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it might be above the embroidered girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate might not be loosed from the ephod; according as the Lord (Yahaveh) commanded Moses.

22: And he made the robe (see 28:31-35) of the ephod of woven work, all of blue.
23: And there was an hole in the midst of the robe, as the hole of a coat of mail (from Old French haubere = neck defence), with a band round about the hole, that it should not rend.
24: And they made upon the hems of the robe pomegranates (see Num.13:23) of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen.
25: And they made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates upon the hem of the robe, round about between the pomegranates;
26: A bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, round about the hem of the robe to minister in; according as Yehovah commanded Moses.

27: And they made coats of fine linen (see 29:39-43) of woven work for Aaron, and for his sons,

29: And a girdle of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, of needlework; according as Yehovah commanded Moses.

30: And they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote upon it a writing (see 17:14), like to the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO YEHOVAH (see 28:36-38).
31: And they tied to it a lace of blue, to fasten it on high upon the turban; according as the Lord (Yehovah) commanded Moses.

32: Thus was all the work of the dwelling place of the Lord (Yahaveh) of the tent of the congregation finished: and the sons of Israel did according to all that the Lord (Yahaveh) commanded Moses, so did they.
33: And (note the Fig. in vv.33-41 emphasising each seperate detail, and impressing the fact that nothing was omitted. 36 "ands" in nine verses. 3 x 12 = Divine perfection times governmental perfection) they brought the dwelling place to Moses, the tent, and all his furniture, his pins, his boards, his bars, and his pillars, and his sockets,
34: And the covering of rams' skins dyed red, and the covering of badgers' skins, and the vail of the covering,
35: The ark of the testimony, and the staves thereof, and the mercy seat,
36: The table, and all the vessels thereof, and the showbread,
37: The pure lampstand, with the lamps thereof, even with the lamps to be set in order, and all the vessels thereof, and the oil for light,
38: And the golden altar, and the anointing oil, and the sweet incense, and the hanging for the tent of the congregation entrance,
39: The bronze altar, and his grate of bronze, his staves, and all his vessels, the laver and his base,
40: The hangings of the court, his pillars, and his sockets, and the hanging for the court gate, his cords, and his pins, and all the utensils (or furniture) of the service of the dwelling place, for the tent of the congregation,
41: And the cloths of service to do service in the holy place, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and his sons' garments, to minister in the priest's office.
42: According to all that Yahaveh commanded Moses, so the sons of Israel made all the work.

43: And Moses did look upon all the work, and, behold, they have done it according as the Lord (Yahaveh) had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses blessed them.

1: And the Lord (Yehovah) spoke to Moses, saying,
2: "On the first day of the first month (=The Spring equinox, March 21-21nd. Six events in Scripture on this day. See Gen.8:13. In the first month on the 14th day the first Passover was kept [Num.9:1-3]. On the first day of the second month they were numbered [Num.1:1,2]: 50 days between Ex.40:17 and Num.10:11. In the interval comes the book of Leviticus, and Num.1:1-10:10. On the 13th day of the second month the Tabernacle was taken down, ad the journey began from Sinai to Canaan [Num.10:11])

shall you set up the tabernacle (=dwelling place of Yahaveh) of the tent of the congregation.

3: And you shall put therein the ark of the testimony (see Ex.25:22), and cover (=screen) the ark and the mercy-seat with the vail.
4: And you shall bring in the table, and set in order the things that are to be set in order upon it (i.e. in two piles, six loaves in each pile, answering to the stones on the shoulder of the High Priest. There was a golden dish at the bottom of each, and another reversed on the top, wth a golden bowl of frankincence on the top. Cp. 25:23-30); and you shall bring in the lampstand, and light the lamps thereof.
5: And you shall set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the testimony, and put the hanging of the entrance to the dwelling place of the Lord (Yahaveh).
6: And you shall set the altar of the burnt offering before the entrance of the dwelling place of the tent of the congregation.
7: And you shall set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and shall put water therein. 8: And you shall set up the court round about, and hang up the hanging at the court gate.

9: And you shall take the anointing oil, and anoint (see 30:22-29) the dwelling place of Yehovah, and all that is therein, and shall hallow it (see 3:5), and all the furniture thereof: and it shall be holy.
10: And you shall anoint the altar of the burnt offering, and all his vessels, and sanctify the altar: and it shall be an altar most holy. (Heb.=holiness of holinesses)
11: And you shall anoint the laver and his base, and sanctify it.
12: And you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the tent of the congregation, and wash (=bathe, see 29:1-4) them with water.
13: And you shall put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him (see 29:5-7), and sanctify him; that he may minister to Me in the priest's office.
14: And you shall bring his sons, and clothe them with coats: (see 29:8,9)
15: And you shall anoint them, according as you did anoint their father, that they may minister to Me in the priest's office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations."
16: Thus did Moses: according to all that Yehovah commanded him, so did he.

21-22st March, 1490 B.C.

17: And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month,

that the tabernacle was reared up.
18: And Moses reared up the dwelling place of Yehovah, and fastened his sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars thereof, and reared up his pillars.
19: And he spread abroad the tent over the dwelling place, and put the covering of the tent above upon it; according as the Lord (Yahaveh) commanded Moses. (See 39:1, and note the 7 occ. of the expression "according as Yahaveh commanded Moses" in his chapter as in chapter 39. #7 = spiritual perfection, or completeness)

20: And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark: (see 25:17)
21: And he brought the ark into the dwelling place of the Lord (Yahaveh), and set up the vail of the covering, and covered the ark of the testimony; according as the Lord (Yahaveh) commanded Moses.
22: And he put the table in the tent of the congregation, upon the opposite side of the dwellig place northward, outside the vail.
23: And he set the bread in order upon it before the Lord (Yehovah); according as Yahaveh had commanded Moses.
24: And he put the lampstand in the tent of the congregation, over against the table, on the opposite side of the dwelling place southward.
25: And he lighted the lamps before Yahaveh; according as Yahaveh commanded Moses.

31: And Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet thereat: (The ceremonial cleansings or "baptisms" [Heb.6:2], always performed by the persons themselves.)
32: When they went into the tent of the congregation, and when they came near to the altar, they washed; according as the Lord (Yehovah) commanded Moses.
33: And he reared up the court round about the delling place of Yehovah and the altar, and set up the hanging of the court gate.

So Moses finished all the work.

34,35. The Aprobation and Blessing of Yehovah.

(Corresponding with that of Moses in 39:43).

34: Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the Lord (Yahaveh) filled the tabernacle.
35: And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of Yehovah filled the dwelling place.

36-38. Journeyings From Sinai.

36: And when the cloud was taken up from over the dwelling place (this continued till Moses' death, when the ark [which till then was carried in the midst of the host] took its place and went "before them". See Josh.3:3-6:11), the sons of Israel went onward in all their journeys: (Lit. = settings forward)
37: But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up.
38: For the cloud of the Lord (Yahaveh) was upon the dwelling place by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel (see 16:31), throughout all their journeys.
