WORDS ON A NAPKIN
Folded in his jacket pocket
The man goes down the street
Not watching where he’s walking
Will she ever see
The words that he wrote down?
Or is she gone forever
Nowhere to be found?
WORDS ON A NAPKIN
Beside the coffee stains
Is all that he has left
Ever since she went away
He will keep that napkin
Till he finds another flame
That will burn that napkin up
Never to be seen again
But it will be so hard
To find another friend (like her)
There are WORDS ON A NAPKIN
In a crowded restaurant
