Santiam to Willamette Pass

Part 2

Two forest service workers cutting the huge log out of the trail! Many thanks! The log was punky in the center which made it harder. They are in a wilderness so had to cut it by hand!

 Note the red top on this Sister Mountain.
Faithful tent. Heavy by today's standards 3.5 pounds. It is mesquito proof, has a floor and a rainfly.
 Typical camp site.
One of the many lakes.
 Nice to see water.
Broken bridge but still functional in the heat of summer anyway.
 Still helps in getting across but main beam broken.
Lots of timber across trail. In this case 3 logs bunched up.
 Another choice, go under or over or around?
More PCT through burned forest.
 More burnt forest. (sad)
One of the Rosary Lakes. Very nice and not far from Willamette Pass.

Almost done with this section of the hike!

 Willamette pass just around the corner. (4 miles)
