Well where do we begin.... it seems like so long ago...

Back in the dark ages... in early 1999, Lisa came to Jim's house because she was friends with Jim's sister, Jamie. Jim only saw her for a few minutes, but really did not get a good look, or great understanding about Lisa at all.

Jamie then invited Lisa over to the house again a week later, to hang out, and thats when they first really talked. After playing a few games of clue, Lisa left. Lisa thought Jim was a cute guy, but nothing to get too excited over. Jamie then got some idea that maybe setting Jim and Lisa up would be a great idea. Jim and Lisa were both big on using the internet at the time, and Jim, the sneaky guy that he is, decided to find out what her online handle was, so he could talk to her. They had a extremely good time talking to each other online each night. They would talk from anything about their interests in life to whats better.... putting your jeans on with your left leg first, or your right leg.

Little did Lisa or Jim know, the conversations over the internet grew longer and more deep. This was the best way for the two of us to communicate at the time, because Lisa lived in Rockford, and Jim lived in Freeport, about 35 minutes apart. It was amazing how much we learned about each other just by typing over the internet. We both felt a feeling inside of us, that even that we didnt know each other for very long, we were able to trust each other with what we had to say, and to be totally honest with each other.

After two or three weeks, Jim decided maybe it would be a good idea to ask the babe out on a date. Jim decided to ask over the instant messenger (hey... he was nervous)... and he was so nervous, he shut off the monitor after he wrote it, so he didnt have to see the response right away. Lisa, with tremendous smiles and her heart racing, respoded with a happy "I would love to go on a date with you".

And then the rest is history.

HOW DID JIM PROPOSE?

Well, Jim decided to propose to the most special girl on the earth in the month of June in 2000. Jim had the ring, but wanted to hide it without her knowing by hugging, etc. So he stuck it on the inside of his undies (it was on the side!!!!!... it worked well). Anyways, Jim and Lisa went for a long walk along a well traveled (by us) bike path in the park. Nervous as Jim was, he decided to stop at the park bench along the path where he gave Lisa his class ring.

After a few minutes, Jim made his move. Lisa knew what was coming, due to Jim not being himself. (How did she know?!! Geesh.) Anyways, Jim pulled out a poem out of his pocket that he wrote himself, and read all four pages to her. At the end of the poem, and it said that "... God put us together for a reason, and that reason is for me to marry you." On that note, Jim got on his knee, pulled out the ring, and proposed.

Yes, she said yes, Silly.

The two couldnt of been more happier.
