Part 1
Jim had been married 6 months now but there wasn�t a day that went by without him regretting his actions. He thought of June everyday and longed to be with her but she had moved on now and he had to come to terms with that.
For weeks after Jim arrived back from honeymoon the atmosphere between himself and June was frosty however, that all changed when June found herself a new man.
June arrived for her shift, she kissed Steve goodbye and entered the station �Who was that?� Polly smiled �You kept him quiet�
�Yes well we only met a couple of weeks ago so I wanted to keep it quite until I knew where we were going�
�So what�s his name?� she asked
�Steve Lennox�
�And do you like him?�
�Yes, yes I do� June smiled
�So how long has this been going on?�
�About 2 weeks�
�Oh you�re a dark horse� Polly giggled
�Who is?� Jim interrupted as he appeared in reception
�I was just saying that June is a dark horse, she has been seeing this hunky bloke for 2 weeks and no one knew anything about it� Polly replied
�Oh right� Jim said looking shocked �Oh that�s great�
�Thanks� June smiled
�Are you happy?� Jim asked, he couldn�t help but feel jealous he knew he shouldn�t but he was.
�Yes� she replied
�Good right well I had better get back to work� Jim said as he walked off.
Later that afternoon June went to update Sam Nixon about a rape case. As she walked through CID she noticed some pictures on Mickey�s desk.
She glanced at the photos and she couldn�t believe her eyes it was Steve.
�June I�m ready for you now� Sam smiled
�Um yes of course� June replied as she walked into Sam�s office.
June updated Sam on the rape case and they discussed what was going to happen next. �So is that it?� Sam asked
�I think so, Oh there was one more thing, what case is Mickey working on at the moment�
�Why do you ask?�
�I was just curious, I noticed some photos on his desk and they looked familiar that�s all�
�Oh well the photos are of Phil Nettle, he is the serial rapist�
June looked shocked, stunned. She quickly made her excuses and ran to the toilets where she locked herself into a cubicle and sobbed. She couldn�t believe that she had been taken in by a rapist, she had let him touch her, sleep with her, she felt disgusted. She wiped her eyes and returned to CSU
�Jim, if anyone wants me I have go out for the afternoon�
�Anywhere nice sarge?� Polly winked
June didn�t reply she just grabbed her bag and left. �What�s up with her?� Polly asked
�I don�t know but something�s wrong� Jim replied looking concerned, he could tell that June had been crying, he just wished he knew why.
About 15 minutes later June arrived at Steve�s work place looking for him. One of his employers told her he had gone to visit an old mate for the day. June demanded the employer gave her the address and after initially saying no he eventually gave in and handed her the address. June drove straight to the address written on the piece of paper and knocked on the door.
�June� Steve said looking shocked
�Surprised?� June asked
�Um you could say that, what are you doing here?�
�I needed to talk to you Steve or should I say Phil Nettle�
Steve�s face looked shocked �Phil Nettle I am arresting you� before June had finished Phil grabbed June by the arm and took her to his car
�Ah Your hurting me� June cried
�I am sorry I have to do this June, I didn�t want to bring you into this but you have given me no choice� he hissed as he gagged her and tied her hands and feet together before driving off.
He drove her to an old looking cottage in the middle of nowhere. He carried her into the cottage and un gagged her
�What are you going to do to me?� June cried
�Well I could rape you like the others�
�No please�
�But I have already had you so there would be no point in that although I have a few friends that may like to have a go�
June looked horrified �Oh you didn�t know that did you, it�s not just me involved there is a gang of five of us�
�No please�
�You should have stayed out of this� he hissed
�You lied to me� she sobbed
�Oh just shut up you old hag� he snapped as he hit her across the face
�Ah!�
Phil grabbed June and locked her in the cell before leaving the cottage. June lay uncomfortably on the cold cellar floor, her face was cut and bleeding and she sobbed. Her worst fears now were that no one knew where she was. I was so stupid she thought to herself I should have told Sam.
Meanwhile back at the station Jim was becoming more and more worried about June, he had tried her house phone and mobile but got the answer machine on both. She had left the station early that day and no one had seen her since which wasn�t like June especially as she had a meeting with Jack which she had now missed.
�Polly can you go and ask DI Nixon if she has heard from June� Jim asked
�Ok�
Polly walked over to CID and saw Sam talking to Mickey. She asked Sam about June but she hadn�t seen her either, then Polly spotted the photo�s Mickey was looking through
�Who�s that?� Polly asked
�Your are the second person to ask me that today, it�s the serial rapist Phil Nettle�
�Oh shit� Polly gasped
�What�s the matter?� Mickey asked
�Has June seen these photos?�
�Yes this morning� Sam replied �Why what�s going on?�
�This is June�s new boyfriend, I saw him with her this morning but he told her his name was Steve Lennox�
�That�s his nephew� Mickey replied
�Oh god, if June saw these photo�s I bet she has gone to confront him. She was acting funny before she left�
�Oh why didn�t she tell me� Sam snapped
�Ashamed maybe�
�But she is putting her self in danger now� Mickey replied
�What are we going to do?� Polly asked
�Ok I want all of Phil�s businesses searched� Sam ordered
�Yes gov �
�I will inform the super and the DCI, we have to move quick, I don�t want June becoming a victim�
�Yes gov�
�Polly can you go round to Phil�s house and June�s and see if there are any sign of them�
�Ok� Polly replied before running out of CID into CSU
�Hey what�s up?� Jim asked
�You are not going to believe this, June�s new man is the serial rapist that Mickey has been hunting for�
�What?�
�June found out this morning and we think�
�She has gone to confront him� Jim finished �Oh no why didn�t she tell anyone�
�I am going over to June�s now�
�I will come with you, we have to find her� Jim said
