Part 2
As a family they had been through many changes since the birth of James six months ago, they had all become closer and Jim and June had spent some quality with all their children as at Christmas they realised how fast their eldest children had grown up and how some significant events had past without them noticing.
Because of this June extended her maternity leave by an extra month and Jim had taken the last month off as well so that they could spend time together as a family. June was not entirely looking forward to her return to work as despite the family becoming closer, her and Jim were encountering a few problems within their relationship and was worried that returning to work would increase the rift
Today was Jim�s birthday and they had spent most of the morning playing computer games with the children and Jim had played hide and seek with Beth, Joe, Ash and Alex. June was glad the weather had improved and sent them out into the garden to play football.
Having Jim and 4 kids tearing around the house had made her feel tired just watching and was now enjoying the peace and quiet.
She did not know who was the worse influence, Jim on the children or the children on Jim
Not many 19, 17 and 14 � year olds would really want to spend their Saturday playing hide and seek with their dad and 5 year old sister but they were all happily enjoying the time they spent together.
They all seemed to find their inner child when they all got together, if any of the older children�s friends or Beth�s boyfriend appeared whilst they were playing like children they often joined in too and then blamed it on entertaining Alex if they thought their reputation would get damaged.
Last summer a huge water fight broke out in their garden, there were about 15 teenagers with armed water pistols and water bombs all getting a soaking, chaos only broke out when Jim, Tony and Gina joined in. Tony and Gina were in the garden armed with hose pipes whilst Jim and Alex threw water bombs and fired water pistols from the bathroom.
June was glad she had been heavily pregnant at the time so she would not have to join in
�Mummy� Alex said as she hopped from foot to foot on the back door mat
�Yes sweetheart� June replied inquisitively, wondering what her daughter was going to ask
�Have you finished doing the washing up?, can you push me on the swing, everyone else is playing football and I can�t push myself�
�Of course I can, what�s the score�
�Spurs are winning 6-2, Beth and Ash are walking it�
�And who would you like to win�
�Spurs of course, I don�t know why Daddy and Joe like Arsenal�
�Neither do I, just don�t say anything to your day about not being a gunners fan�
�Ok mummy�..is James still asleep�
�Yes darling�
�It�s a good job, if he was bigger daddy would want him on his team�
June laughed as she picked up the baby monitor and followed her daughter into the garden
�You look fantastic� Jim said as he entered the bedroom and watched June smooth her tightly fitting red dress across he stomach, however hard he looked he could not find a single sign to indicate that she had given birth six months ago, in fact there was nothing about her body to signal that she had ever given birth. He knew that his wife�s slim figure was the envy of many woman, including the young PC�s who were in their 20�s and despite Junes protests to him her body was perfect.
�You know�� he continued as he walked towards her �You look more beautiful now than you did in 1983 and you were the most beautiful woman I had ever met than and still are now�
�You are such a sweet talker but you do talk complete rubbish sometimes, I have still got some weight to lose from having James�
�I don�t think so, you look absolutely stunning in this dress�.� Jim stood behind her, put his arms around her waist and kissed her neck � �.Is perfect for highlighting the curves of your body�
He ran his hands down June�s body, resting at her hips
�In fact it looks better on you today than it did at Sam Nixon�s leaving do and you looked so good then and we know what happened then�
�Yes the product of that night is asleep in his cot� she laughed as she finished sorting out her hair in the mirror
�What can I say, I found you irresistible, I am beginning to think that you suit red more than you do suit black and you know that effect of you in a little black dress has on me��..I wish we were going out alone tonight without our friends, I don�t want to share you with anyone tonight after all it is valentines day and there are so many things I would rather do with you, just us alone together� he kissed the most sensitive part of her neck softly
June turned round to face him �You will just have to behave yourself whist we are out wont we� she kissed him �Come on lets go before you sweet talk me out of this�
Jim nodded picked up his jacket and headed out of the bedroom. June watched him leave, after that conversation she began to thing that the problems they had been experiencing recently were just in her own mind, that there was no real problem. She had to try and test the situation without Jim realising that there was really a problem between them
