Part 2
It was a side of June that would only ever show when she was happy and relaxed, a side of her that she usually kept just for him when no-one else was around.
It was only as their relationship developed June allowed Jim to see this side of her, the happy, relaxed, content and passionate person that had been hidden during their time as friends rather than lovers
Jim was suddenly aware that June�s eyes were looking at him and was slightly embarrassed that she had caught him.
Sensing this she smiled and mouthed the three little words that made his heart skip a beat every time she said them
He watched her make her excuses to Bob and walk over to where he was sat
�Hey you� she said as she lifted his chin and kissed his lips �You look tired�
�It�s been a long day�
�I hope that does not mean that you are going to fall asleep on me�
�Never�
�Good, shall we slip away, leave this lot to it, they are all too drunk to notice if we disappear, we have our own celebrations to start�
�That sounds like a good idea�
Gina and Tony were sat by the bar as they watched Jim and June leave the celebrations
�Half 10 and they are doing a runner� said Gina
�Who�s doing a runner?� Bob asked as he joint them
�The bride and groom� Tony pointed towards the closing door
�Oh right, I can�t believe that they have finally got married�
�It must be a bit weird for you�
�What do you mean?� Tony asked Gina
�Well for years you have all been part of a trio, when ever you mention one of you the other two names usually follows, it must be strange now those two have got married�
�Not really, they are so happy together�
�I have never known them so happy� Bob said as he paid the barman �And I have known them virtually as long as Tony�
�I know what you mean, before I discovered that they were a couple they were extremely clicky, you know sharing private little jokes that no-one understood, they were both so happy and I could out work out why�
�I know what you mean, I had noticed a change in June but I just put it down to the fact that I did not know her that well, then at Kerry and Luke�s party it all made sense�
�I knew way before that, Jim and I had an argument over him being FLO to the Dwyer�s and June was sticking up for Jim again, I made some comment about them being a double act and asked if there was something going on between them�
�Which there was�
�Yeah, but June denied it Bob, I felt a right idiot, so I went round to June�s to apologise for what I had said, anyway I was stood there with a bunch of flowers on the doorstep when June opens the door wearing her dressing gown, she looked horrified to see me and suddenly she looked behind her, anyway I looked up just as Jim was walking downstairs doing his dressing gown up�
�Blimey, they could not deny that� said Bob
�Exactly, I was so upset that they had lied to me, I could understand why they wanted to keep things quiet, you saw the reaction of people after the party�
�Yeah, I did give June some stick, then again she gave me some back� Gina laughed
�But once I thought about it I realised that they were actually made for each other. When I saw them at the hospital the love between them was so obvious, Jim was helping June to drink and I felt like I was intruding on such an intimate moment. Jim chased after me, asked me why I had walked away, I told him what was so obvious to me and probably to everyone yet not to them. And as they would say the rest is history�
�Who needs a fairy godmother when you have Tony Stamp to the rescue�
�I think he is more godfather than god mother, don�t you Bob, the wings wont suit him� Gina laughed as she took a sip of her drink
June walked over to the window where Jim was stood watching the moonlight reflecting on the lake in the grounds of the hotel
�What you looking at?�
�Nothing really� he said smiling, pulling his wife into his arms and kissing her hair �Just how I wish life could stay like this, it�s perfect�
�It is going to get more perfect, now we are together forever�
�True� he picked up June �talking of perfection, I think we cant get much better in one particular area�
�Oh I don�t know, things can only get better apparently���You would not believe what I found in the bathroom�
�What�s that� asked Jim as he placed her on the bed and began to undo her robe
�Well there is a rather large bath which just happens to be a Jacuzzi�
�Now that sounds like a area for investigation�
�Anyone would think you planned this� Jim said as June handed him a glass of alcohol free champagne
�Would I do a thing like that�
�Yes you would, You planning to take advantage of me in here?�
�You should be so lucky Mr Carver� she kissed him �No one could ever take advantage of you� she moved herself onto Jim�s lap and set about kissing his chest, Jim relaxed back into the bath and took a sip of his drink as June kissed her way up his body
She took a sip from Jim�s glass just before kissing his lips, allowing the liquid to flow over his mouth as they kissed passionately.
His hands ran down her body, making her shiver with delight. She ran her hands through her is hair as his hands fell to her buttocks, pushing her body up, allowing her easier access to lower herself down on to him
She smiled at him � See I could never take advantage of you, you are always so willing�
Jim kissed June�s forehead as she slept across his chest, he had been watching her sleep for the past hour, still quite not believing that June was finally his wife, he looked at the band of gold on his left hand and smiled
�I love you Mrs Carver� he said before wrapping his arms around June and fell asleep holding him close to him
