�So have you decided when you are coming back to Sun Hill? Jim asked
�Yes I am going to come back with you on Sunday�
�Are you sure?�
�Yes, I feel much stronger now and I feel ready to go back to work�
�Oh I am so pleased� Jim beamed �I have missed you, everyone has�
�I have missed you too, but this has been nice. I think we both needed this� Jim nodded in agreement
�You know Marie�s trial starts soon as she changed her plea�
�Yes I know and that�s another reason I need to come back�
�I hope she gets life�
�I am not bothered, I feel sorry for her really�
� But don�t you hate her�
�Hate is a strong word Jim, I don�t hate her, I feel sorry for her�
�June you are a wonderful woman� Jim smiled as he kissed her
�Jim thank you for being so patient with me, I know it must be hard for you it is for me too but I am not ready yet�
�I know, I will wait for as long as it takes�
�thank you� she replied before kissing him passionately
That weekend both Jim and June returned to Sun Hill and on Monday June returned to work. Everyone was pleased to see her. She settled back into CSU and had a good day.
At the end of the shift Jim drove her home
�I�ll see you tomorrow then� Jim smiled as he kissed her good bye
June looked deep into his eyes and got hold of his hand � Jim stay�
�What?�
�Stay with me tonight?� June repeated
�Are you sure?�
�I have never be so sure about anything in my life, we have waited long enough, I want you Jim Carver�
Jim smiled and followed June into the house. It wasn�t long before they were taking each other�s clothes off and making love.
�Oh June I have missed this�
�It was definitely worth waiting for she said as she kissed him �Jim�
�Yes� he said as he continued to kiss her body
�Would you like to move back in?�
Jim stopped what he was doing and looked at her �Do you mean it?� he smiled
She nodded
�Then yes I would love too� he replied kissing her passionately � Oh June you have made me the happiest man alive, I love you�
�I love you too�
The following day June and Jim arrived for work together and Frank walked up to them
�Good news, Marie has changed her plea again, they are sentencing her today�
�Oh what a relief at least there won�t be a long trial now� June sighed
�Yeah� Jim smiled as he placed his arm around her
�Look I am going to see Jack� June said �See you later�
�Ok�
June walked off and left Jim and Frank talking
�Thank you for everything Frank�
�Just doing my job and I am sorry about me having to arrest you�
�It�s alright, you were doing your job�
�Thank god for June hey�
�Yeah, she�s special, I should have married her when I had the chance�
�You mean�
�She asked me months ago but I freaked out, said no and then ended up marrying Marie instead, I am such a fool�
�So how are things between you two now?� Frank asked
�They couldn�t be better, I love her so much�
�And she definitely loves you�
�She asked me to move in with her last night�
�Oh Jim that�s great�
�Yes�
�I am glad things are working out for you kid, both you and June have had a tough few months, you deserve some happiness�
�Thanks�
�So is there any chance of wedding bells then?�
�I don�t think so, well not for a while, I have to divorce Marie first�
�But what if Marie was still married to Max then your wedding would be void and you would be free to marry June�
�Yeah but she has divorced Max� Jim sighed �wishful thinking�
�Do you know for sure?� Frank asked
�No but surely�
�Ah but you don�t know so lets find out�
Frank makes a few phone calls and within 2 hours Frank has proof that Marie and Max are still married. He breaks the news to Jim who is delighted. �
�So?�
�So what?� Jim asked
�Are you going to ask her?� Frank smiled
�Yes�
�Oh great, I am going to be at this one� Frank laughed
�She hasn�t said yes yet�
�Oh yeah and like she�s going to say no, I don�t think�
�She may�
�Jim are you on the same planet as everyone else, she adores you�
�I hope your right�
�I am� Frank smiled before walking off.
Jim took his mobile out of his pocket and made some phone calls and then went up to CSU. �June� he smiled �I am taking you out tonight�
�Are you?�
�Yes, so I will pick you up at 7'
�But I thought you were going to move in today� June said looking disappointed
�Oh I am but I am still taking you out tonight and I am not taking no for an answer�
�ok where are we going?� she asked
�It�s a surprise�
�But what shall I wear?�
�What ever you want?� he smiled as he grabbed his coat
�Where are you going?� June asked
�I have lots to do, see you at 7'
�But Jim......� she said as he walked off
�What was all that about?� Polly asked �You haven�t fallen out have you?�
�No Jim is taking me out but he is being cagey about it and now he has just gone out without saying where too�
�Oh perhaps he has a special night planned�
�What do you mean?�
�Wedding bells?�
�No, no he wouldn�t can�t, he�s only just married Marie�
�Maybe� Polly smirked before walking off.
Later that evening Jim sent a limo to pick June up and he waited on the boat
�Ma�am your carriage awaits� a chauffer said
�Sorry I think you�ve got the wrong house� June said looking stunned
�Are you June Ackland?�
�Yes�
�Well I am definitely here to pick you up�
�No I am waiting for my partner�
�Jim Carver?� the chauffer asked
�That�s right�
�Well he sent me so?�
June smiled and got into the limo. �Where are we going?�
�You�ll see�
About half hour later the limo pulled up by the boat, June got out and Jim walked over to her. He was wearing a black suit and she was wearing a beautiful black dress.
�You look so beautiful� Jim smiled
�Jim what�s all this?�
�Do you like it?�
�Yes of course�
�Right well come on dinner awaits� Jim said
Jim led June onto the boat. They enjoyed a lovely dinner together and then danced slowly to the music played
'This is wonderful� June smiled �Thank you�
�I wanted to do this properly�
�Do what properly?� June asked
Jim got down on one knee �Jim what are you doing?�
�June Ackland we have been through so much these last few months and I know you said you wanted to take things slow but I love you June and I want to be with you for the rest of my life, June will you marry me?�
