Part One
June pulled up outside Sunhill and watched Jim talking to a tall man, he looked rough and his face looked bruised but she couldn�t get a good enough view. Her heart melted as she watched him, even after everything he had done, she still missed him. She picked up her mobile and dialled Tony�s number.
�Hello Tone its June.....yes�..I am fine�.no I haven�t not yet...I don�t know Tone, will you meet me at yours in half hour please I need to talk to someone�.thank you and Tone don�t tell Jim I am back� June hung up.
Although she had missed him she still felt angry about what he had done and she wasn�t sure whether she could ever trust him again. She needed some answers and she hoped Tony would provide some of them.
Half hour later
Tony arrived at his house and greeted June with a big hug
�Oh June it�s so nice to see you, I have been so worried� Tony smiled
�I am fine Tone�
�Fancy a cup o tea� he asked
�Would love one thank you� she replied
Tony opened the door and let her in and then he went and made some tea.
�Here you go� he placed a mug on the table
�So tell me all about it?�
�I am sorry Tone but I haven�t come here to talk about the cruise, I need to know how Jim is�
�Why don�t you ask him?� Tony asked
�I don�t know if I can Tone�
�Are you saying it�s over?�
June broke down �I don�t know� she cried �Oh Tone he betrayed me, he lied, he..�
�June all you have to ask yourself is do you still love him?�
June nodded �Of course I do, he is the best thing that ever happened to me, when he asked me to marry him I was the happiest I had ever been�
�Well then, talk to him�
�Did he get my money?� June asked
�Yes but�
�But what?�
�He hasn�t used it� Tony continued
�Why not? I don�t understand�
�June he thought you had left him forever, he loves you more than even I realized, he didn�t want to use the money because it was yours�
�He�s my husband, what�s mine is his and vice versa�
�Yes but he thinks its all over, he�s in mourning�
�So what happened about the money?�
�Well the day you left he was beaten to a pulp� Tony began
June gasped �No, is that why he didn�t show up?�
�He was on his way but some henchmen bungled him into a van and beat him up, by the time he arrived at Sun hill you had gone. He was absolutely devastated, I thought he was at his lowest when he was drinking but that was nothing compared to that day. He threw himself into work to try and forget what had happened but that didn�t work either�
�I saw him earlier, I watched him talking outside the station�
�So you saw the state of him then� Tony said
�Not really, why?�
�He�s bruised all over, another beating two days ago. Jack has tired talking to him but he won�t tell him who did it�
�Oh god�
�Tell him your back June�
�I am frightened Tone�
�Of Jim?�
�No of how strong I feel for him, when I was away even though he had hurt me badly I pined for him, I missed him so much that my heart ached. I know that sounds stupid but�
�It doesn�t sound stupid June, you love him�
�Your right I need to see him, I need to sort him out�
Tony hugged June
�He is sorry you know and he�s been going to GA meetings, he�s trying�
�Thanks Tony� she kissed his cheek
�Come on I will take you down the station, everyone would love to see you�
�Ok� June nodded �thank you�
Tony drove June to Sun hill, as he pulled up to the car park gates he spotted some smoke
�What�s that?� June asked
Before Tony could reply there was a huge explosion inside the station
�No!!!!� June screamed
