He was sure that she was in the same state of amazement as he was, the fact that friendship could mask such overwhelming feeling of love for 18 years, these feelings which for the past 2 years had proved to be so shocking to them both, the fact that they had ignored them for so long when it felt so right.
He could still remember the first night they had spent together, the intenseness of their love and passion, he had never felt that before about any of his previous relationships, he knew after that night that he wanted to marry June and spend everyday of his life with her, wanting to erase all the time that they had lost, all the chances that had slipped past them. He closed his eyes allowing his mind to wander back to the day when he took June on the London Eye, waited for it to reach the top, then got down on one knee in front of 20 Japanese tourists and asked June to be his wife.
He smiled as he remembered the initial look of horror on June�s face as she realised what was happening and how quickly it was replaced by that beaming smile which told Jim that his answer was going to be the one he wanted to hear. He smiled at image that was now in his head and wandered over to Gary and Tony
It took him 18 months to pluck up the courage to propose to her, he could not understand why he had taken so long to do it, this feeling was echoed by the staff at Sun Hill. Most of the staff had been shocked by the revelation of their relationship at Kerry and Luke�s party nearly 2 years ago, they were more shocked by the fact that the relationship was glaring obvious to anyone who had thought about it, how 2 people could have such feelings for each other, be so close without there being something more deeper fuelling it.
Once the initial gossip had died down everyone accepted Jim and June being an item and left them to get on with things, they were glad to see them both so happy.
The wedding was deemed the biggest social event ever in the history of Sun Hill with the whole station wanting regular updates on the planned event. They got bored with constantly repeating the latest updates that Jim decided to publish regular newsletters and distributed them around the station so that they could get some peace from the consent enquires. Even though it did annoy them on occasion they were glad that they had so much support from their colleagues.
He was discussing the finer points of Arsenal recent win over Chelsea with Tony, Gary and Nick, when June came over to him and pulled him away from where the lads were stood. She kissed his lips softly, wrapping herself around him

He kissed her back, just as softly, pulling her in even closer to him
��Well I have to think of something to keep my mind from wandering Mrs Carver, it is a hard thing to do when you look so beautiful�� They kissed slowly ��All I want is to be alone with you I don�t want to share you with this rabble��
��Well come tomorrow, we will be on our way to Barbados and this lot will be no where to be seen��

Jim closed his eyes, put his forehead next to hers and exhaled slowly

June smiled at him, took his hand and led him out of the room and over to the lifts and stood there waiting for the lift to arrive
��June don��t we need the key to our room�� Jim looked around the reception area checking that no one was aware of them sneaking away from their wedding reception
June smiled at him ��already have it, do you really think I would give that lot the opportunity to get their hands on it and plant some extra surprises for us, anyway we didn�t want to make it completely obvious when we sneaked away did we�� They got into the lift ��Anyway even if they do suss and go ask if we have taken the key to the room it will take them long enough to figure out where our room is wont it��
Jim shut the door to their room, turned round and looked at June who was stood a few steps away from him, he pulled her towards him and picked her up, walked over to the bed, She pulled him down to her by the tie as he placed her on the bed

��Indeed we are Mrs Carver, you don��t think anyone has noticed that we are missing...��
��Jim will you just shut up, I didn�t bring you up here so we could talk��
He smiled, ran his hands down her body, making her groan as he pushed his body against her as they kissed passionately.
He pulled away from her mouth and trailed kisses down her body, when he got to her waist he rolled her dress up over her thighs and set about plating delicate kisses on the inside of her thighs, rewarded by the light moans that were coming from June as she ran her fingers through Jims hair, they both knew that there was going to be nothing slow about this experience, they had to release some of their emotions about the day, the day they had been waiting for so long to arrive.
June lifted her hips to allow Jim to remove her underwear and pushed at his boxer shorts with her feet. She gasped loudly as she felt Jim��s tongue make contact with her ��Oh Jim...please don��t, I want you now, I need you to....��She groaned loudly as she could feel herself getting closer to the edge
Jim looked up at her and smiled, knelt up slightly and removed his boxers from round his ankles, he kissed his way back up her body and started to kiss June��s collar bone as he pushed deep into her.
��They must have noticed we were missing by now �� said Jim as they walked through the hotel reception and back into the room where there reception was being held
��Jim I doubt it, they are all enjoying getting pissed, they wont have noticed a thing, we could do a repeat performance on the dance floor and they would not notice a thing, come on in a few hours we can pick up where we left off and we wont have to worry about this lot will we��
��I like the sound of picking up where we left off�� he placed his arm around he waist and walked over to the bar
��Where have you two been?�� asked Gina as they stood at the bar ��Nick wanted to start the disco over an hour ago, but he couldn�t as you were missing��
��We were.... um�� Jim tried to think of something to say but couldn�t
��Don�t look so worried Jim, Honey persuaded Gary and Nick not to track you down, we saw you sneaking off when we were sat at the bar in reception��

��Nothing, I said I saw you out in the grounds with some of your family��

��No problems, if they were dumb enough to believe that they will believe anything, anyway I will get Nick to get things going, oh by the way Jim you had better button your shirt back up properly, don�t want to make it too obvious�� Gina winked at June as she walked away
June laughed as Jim looked down at his shirt and then laughed as he realised Gina was taking the mickey

They started to dance along to Robbie Williams, they smiled at the memory of the first time they danced to this song, he kissed her and looked into her eyes as clapping broke out around the room

��Well I�m not going anywhere, I love you too, with all my heart�� she smiled as he pulled her into him and they kissed as more cheers broke out around the room.
Jim looked down from the balcony of their apartment at June who was lying on a sun lounger, they had been in Barbados for 3 days and June had already developed a deep golden tan where as Jim was glowing a nice shade of red. He watched her turn onto her front, he thought that she looked amazing in her bikini, a thought that was believed by many of the men around the pool, many men had been unable to take there eyes from his wife, he had found it funny yesterday when he had sat down next to her and she lent over and kissed him, many of the men who had previously been watching June gave Jim a look of disgust when they realised that June was not there alone.
June had found this just as funny when he had told her this over dinner the night before. It gave him a warm feeling inside to know that despite

She returned his warm smile, ran her hand down his body, he gasped as June�s hand delved into his shorts

He took hold of her hips as he entered her, she turned her head to meet his, their lips meeting and kissing roughly as she pushed against him.
He pulled her to her knees, stopped moving inside her, allowing her to position herself more comfortably, putting her hands flat against the mattress as Jim began to thrust deeply and quickly into her.
They collapsed down onto the bed; he wrapped his arms around her as they led there together

��Well�� she said turning to face him ��It took you long enough to ask me to, even though you have been dropping hints everyday since we got together��

��I know, as we said no regrets about our past, yes we should have had the courage years ago but we didn�t so we can�t look back, if we had done all that we could have easily split up and caused each other to self destruct even more, ended up hating each other��

pick you up and take you in my arms and hug you, tell you that I would protect you, but there was never the right time to tell you I loved you��

He put his hands into her hair and began to twist it round his fingers

A few days later Jim rolled over and put his arm out to pull June closer to him, realising she was not there he looked towards the light coming from under the bathroom door. He got from the bed and went towards the bathroom

��You ok babe?�� he opened the door to find June slumped on the floor by the toilet being sick into it
��I went to get some juice for us and I suddenly had this urge to be sick and have been ever since��

��There was no need, it was probably something I�ve eaten, don��t worry��
She stood up and nearly collapsed onto the floor, Jim managed to catch her in his arms before she hit the floor
��Come on take it slowly, let�s get you back to bed�� he scooped her up and put her into bed ��you stay here I will get you some water and something to be sick into, I think I saw a bucket somewhere�� he kissed her

Jim came into the bedroom just as June was rinsing her mouth with water

June sat on the sofa next to Jim as he sat down ��By the grin on your face I would say Arsenal won��
��Yep 4-1, how are you feeling now?��
��Better thanks, I was led in bed thinking, I can�t believe that we have been married for nearly 2 weeks and our honeymoon is nearly over��
��Tell me about it, in 4 days time you will be in Manchester and I will be in London and I won�t be able to wake up next to your beautiful face��
��I know�� she said as straddled his lap ��But at least we have Glasgow to look forward too, I would rather be spending another 2 weeks in a hotel with you rather than Gina Gold��

June smiled ��That still sounds so strange�� she kissed him softly ��But until we leave here we have enough things to do to occupy our time, don�t ya think�� She stood up and began to undo her dressing gown
