"I can�t believe you did that June." He looked at her, she had that glint in her eye, that mischievously seductive one that she would flash at him whenever he looked at her across the office and when they were in bed together, she lent forward and kissed him softly, he felt his body tingle.
"Which bit, me telling you I loved you or the public display of affection?"
"Both." It was his turn to make her shiver with his kiss. "I�ve waited so long for you to do both, for you to tell me that you felt the same way as I did, as for telling the whole world about us�� �� it just feels fantastic, oh June this is just fantastic."
She pulled him into her and they kissed, it became passionate, he ran his hand down her back and let it settle on her rear.
"Lets go home," he whispered into her ear "I don�t want to share you anyone else this evening."
"That�s the best idea you�ve had in ages, hope you are going to have some more good ideas for when we get home."
"That would be telling."
The cold evening air hit them as they stepped out of the club and into the street and began to walk towards the car.
"If I didn��t know any better I would think I was in a dream world."
"Trust me Jim you are not dreaming, that did happen." They stopped walking as they reached the car and she turned to face him. "I have spent all day thinking about things and you looked so lonely sat on your own across the club, I had to do something to cheer you up."
"You don�t regret it do you?"
"Of course not, god I love you so much there is no point in trying to hide things anymore, I am so proud to be with you I want the whole world, well the nick to know."
They walked up to the house and she lent against the door as Jim fumbled with his keys to open the door, he put the key in the lock, pushed the door open, put the keys into his pocket and turned to June. She took a deep breath and wrapped her arms around him, captured his lips with hers. Their kiss became deeper, gradually becoming frantic as their tongues clashed. He pushed her in through the front door and pinned her against the wall as he kicked the door shut.
He pulled at her top, removing it as he began to kiss her neck, then down across her collarbone and down her chest, she dropped her hand down to his trousers, she could feel his erection digging into her thigh as he pushed himself against her causing her to groan. She had been running her hand across his thigh during the car journey home, knowing the effect it was having on him, mentally and physically.
He slipped his hand round to the back of her skirt and undid it with his free hand, his other hand was removing her underwear, she groaned.
"If I had known that going public would have this effect on you, I would have done it a lot earlier." She undid the belt and the flies of his jeans and let them slip to the floor, put her hands into his boxer shorts and pushed them down to the floor. Jim stepped out of them and kicked them to one side. June wrapped her arms around him and groaned as he entered her, he pushed her up the wall so she could wrap her legs around her waist.
"Oh Jim." She groaned as he thrust into her deeply and quickly, each time making her groan his name with pleasure. He loved to hear the changes of her voice as they made love; still not believing that after all these years they were sharing these experiences. He had never been with a woman who had such an influence over him; one touch from her would arouse him. He knew that she shared the same feelings as him; he knew that his touch had the same effect on her; it was obvious from the way her body would react.
June dug her heels into his back, which made him groan her name, her eyes rolled, she screamed his name as she climaxed, he thrust into her one last time as he followed her climax with his own. Kissing her body as it continued to shake, he kissed her lips as he withdrew from her, lowering her back to the floor as he did so.
"I would have definitely told people about us earlier if I knew that was going to happen."
They kissed softly.
"Come on lets go to bed, it��s far more comfortable up there, I think it is going to be a long night." She smiled at him, that glint was still in her eye.
"You looked terrified when I pulled you onto the dance floor."
He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead.
"Well I did wonder what you were going to do, bearing in mind that this morning you didn�t want to go out in case someone guessed about us."
"I know, I know but we have done it now, let people confirm their suspicions."
" You are going to get some comments at work tomorrow, weird looks, you know that."
She hit him, "Don�t look so smug, just as you�re not working tomorrow, I�m sure they will still be talking about it when you are next in work�� I�m sure Cathy will have something to say about it, you know how she likes to cause trouble."
"Don�t worry babe, it will be fine."
June was reading the paper as Jim came into the kitchen. He went to the kettle to make a cup of tea.
"Thought you would still be asleep, taking the opportunity to catch up on some sleep."
"No chance." He said as she walked over to him, "when there is no-one to cuddle up to, why don�t you come back to bed, chuck a sickie, you know you would rather stay in bed with me than go to work."
"That�s very true, but it would look a bit dodgy, especially after last night�s revelation, so don�t even tempt me with it."
"I could come with you, confront the gossips together."
"No I will be fine, that will only add to the gossip �� if you came in on you day off. Anyway they will no doubt save some hassle for you." She looked at the clock. "I must go."
They kissed, she went to walk away but he pulled her back and the kissed passionately �� reassuringly.
June walked into CSU, Brandon and Cathy both put their heads done to avoid her eyes but she was determined to get revenge for the scene they caused in the canteen. She was glad in a way that they had as she could confront everyone at the same time, but she had to do this or they would continue to make jokes at their expense.
"I suppose you thought that was clever do you, that our relationship is some sort of joke for you to laugh at?"
"No Sarge." Said Brandon. "Didn�t mean to, it was just a surprise that�s all, we didn�t mean anything by it did we Cathy?"
"No, sorry, as you said it�s none of our business."
"Good, don�t forget I am your senior officer, I could make things difficult for you if you continue to make snide comments, that doesn�t mean you can level them at Jim either."
June shut the front door, she could smell cooking coming from the kitchen, this is, she thought, what a relationship is about, having someone to come home to. She wandered into the kitchen just as Jim shut the oven door.
"What you cooking?" She asked as she put her bag and coat on the chair.
"That will be telling." They kissed. "Dinner will be an hour."
"Oh good��" She smiled. "That gives us time to do something else doesn�t it."
"Like what?" he asked as she took his hand and led him to the stairs
"If you need to ask, you not going to be any use to me."
"Cheeky woman, you��re asking for trouble, I��ll get you for that��"
"You will have to catch me first." She ran up the stairs laughing, he chased after her.
She screamed as he grabbed her and threw her onto the bed.
