MY TESTIMONY

JOHN 4:29,   " Says come see a man who told me all things I ever did"

            On Oct.3,1970on a Sunday afternoon between the hours of 2 and 3 o-clock, I asked the Lord Jesus Christ to come into my heart and save me. That day I met a man who told me all things I ever did.Then He said "I Forgive" He forgave me for all my sins I had ever committed. Past present and future, But this best thing he did He forgave me for the sin nature I was born with,and at that moment I was "born again" into the family of God. I was not really searching for God, But I was already under conviction that I was a sinner and was going to Hell when I died.

            I had just came out of a Catholic Church which I was a member for 19 years. I thought I had committed the unpardonable sin. I did not believe that God would ever forgive me for what I had done. I had gotten a divorce and they excommunicated me from the church. But  then that day on Oct 3rd. I met Jesus,I came face to face with the word of God. Face to face with John 3:16, a verse I had know all my life, But never faced up to what it meant. And nothing in my life has been the same since that moment.He changed my whole life. I got up from my knees that day a different man. The first thing I did was get in the car and drive five miles to tell my mother.

            That night (Sunday Night) I went to Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Marion Va. and was Baptized.That night after church, I went to my home and poured out all the liquor and beer I had down the drain. and got rid of all the cigarettes in my house. No one had to preach to me that drinking and smoking was a sin The Holy Spirit had already convicted my heart that it was. and thanks be to a great and wonderful Savoir I have never had a decide for either drink or smoke since. He worked a miracle in my life that day that I will never forget.

            In December of 1970 we started a bus ministry at Faith Baptist Church In January of 1971 I went to a bus conference in Lynchburg Va.at Thomas Road Baptist Church. DR Bob Gray was preaching his sermon on Highways, Hedges ,and Buses. And I was hooked. and have been in the bus ministry every since. In Sept. I surrender to Preach and started in school at Lynchburg Baptist Collage. Now Liberty University. and Graduated in June of 1974. We have moved around the country for many years now doing bus ministry in different churches. No matter where we were He has always met our Needs.

             Latest: I am now 75 and still drive a bus at our church now and then. and still preach when ever ,where ever , He opens the door. If some that read this would like I am available to come and preach for you.
