| SAN DIEGO SUPERIOR COURT Judge of the Superior Court Office No. 5 |
| JAMES I. MC MILLAN Practicing San Diego Attorney / Company President I can make a contribution to the people of San Diego County by offering breadth of experience. The current criminal justice philosophy is as bankrupt as the system's financial position. The philosophy is the cause of the financial condition. Current strategies are not working. I subscribe to a more individualized approach. An example would be requiring an individual to learn to read as a condition for probation. A judge must follow the law, but I can bring fresh energy, insight and creativity to the office. As a victim of a robbery by an armed gang, I believe jail is for dangerous criminals, but not for attitude adjustments of otherwise good citizens. I support the individual against government abuse. I have been an attorney in San Diego since 1976. In past years, I managed as many as 25 employees in our family computer sales business. I worked ten years as a physicist, and was a real estate broker for 8 years. I graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1963 with a BA in Physics, from California State University in 1966 with a Masters in Physics, and from Western State University in 1975 with a Doctorate in Jurisprudence. www.McMillan4Judge.com [email protected] |
