A Lost Love
Clouds of gloom descending, Heavy in my head, Heart becoming leaden, Moving like a pendulum, Not life's pulsating force.
Pendulum of life ticking away hours, minutes, Wasted moments of pointless love, Anger, regret and worst of all lazy, futile nothingness.
I am so sorry, I could not find the staying power, Let my life slip by, Unable to rise like the phoenix from the ashes, It's easier this way, In too much darkness I am the moon without the sun, I wanted you to be my light, But your flames were an illusion, If I had only known in the beginning.
