You are the most important part of your child's life, and therefore should be the most involved. I invite you explore a part of their world you don't see all that often, their world in my classroom. Here is a chance for you to really get involved in your student's education. This is a web page made especially for parents. It contains links to student works, grades, interest, and my own ideas. Please interact with me and keep in contact throughout the year!

Teaching Philosophy
Family, social class, ethnicity, experiences; all of these elements are different in each and every person. They are what make you who you are, and individual. However, in too many cases children are loosing this individually when they are put into the schools. They become more like robots, inputting and reciting information with no extra and unique thought. Eventually, students feel like they are only another piece of hay in a haystack; not unique in any way. This is a great injustice not only to learning but to students. As a teacher I propose to use the very things that make my students different to their and mine advantage. The components of individuality can be, and should be, used not only to help students connect information, but to help them feel special, different. Together, these thirty separate and unique individuals will learn together, in an environment fostering individual growth.
