I am a returning student in the undergraduate English/Secondary Education Program at SUNY Stony Brook . Before returning to school full-time in 2000, I enjoyed a career as a corporate marketing/public relations professional, in a variety of industries.

I will be graduated from Stony Brook in May, 2003, and plan to seek a teaching opportunity in a middle school or high school here on Long Island. I also intend to immediately begin work on an M.A. in English.

I grew up in Northern New Hampshire , lived for many years in Central Connecticut, and moved to Long Island in 1996. I live in East Setauket, with my husband, son and cats . I belong to the PTA and have been a Cub Scout Den Leader for five years.

I have been "on-line" for almost ten years, and am still thrilled at the potential the internet represents.I believe it to be an invaluable tool, which belongs in classrooms, and in homes, and will only serve to improve the education of our children, by exposing them to ideas, and opinions, outside their normal ranges of experience.
