| Los Angeles, CA - Gina Uehara, who friends affectionately call "Gene" has taken her nickname one step too far. According to a close friend, she's begun to think she's the rock legend, Gene Simmons, of KISS fame. Says friend and confidant, Dan Turner,"I noticed a while ago that she kept sticking her tongue out (see picture). It really disturbed me. Then the white stuff on her face, I thought she was going into Kabuki theatre or something. It was when she would headbang and yell that she wanted to 'rock and roll all night' that I became extremely disturbed by her actions." Psychologists say this is common when a person is given a nickname that is closely related to a star. Dr. Philip Lassuer says that the brain begins to make connections with the subconscious, and eventually, the body begins to follow suit. Hence the headbanging, make-up, and tongue action. Dr. Philip says there is hope for people like "Gene" Gina. Researchers at UCLA Medical Center are conducting shock-therapy treatments and results are looking good. Dr. Lassuer says,"The acidic burn testing has especially been successful." |
