Confusion holds their trembling hands
Fear is all they’re allowed to see
Emptiness befriends this frightened soul
And loneliness holds the key
Betrayal is marked upon their backs
Like scars, they lead the way
They scream in hopes to share their voice
“DON’T LISTEN TO WHAT THEY SAY!”
Who are these denying leaders
That so callously close their eyes
To a generation of pleading children
That can’t decipher all the lies
They expose their bleeding bodies
Begging for relief from this pain
But nobody wants to dirty their hands
And nobody wants the blame
So they pass of the responsibility
To some other ignorant face
But the day of reckoning is bound to come
When those children will take their place
