Summary of
Project: Students
will be presented wth information about the six food groups of the
Food Pyramid and the recommended daily servings for each
group. Next, students will conduct an Internet search to find
graphics for examples of foods from each food group. Students
will download any images they wish to use to construct an individual
Food Pyramid on a poster board. They will print these images
using a color printer and assemble them on the poster board.
Assessment: Students will
receive a grade based on a rubric that measures the following:
- Neatness/organization
- Were five
examples of each food included?
- Were all six
food groups represented properly?
- Were servings
of each indicated correctly?

Extension: Plan a full day's
menu, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, that would ensure that
