Do you remember the Bell Science movies we use
to watch with...Mr. Sun, Hemo the Magnificent, and Father Time?
Or the time we spent listening to public radio on the "School of the Air" program. Schools across Wisconsin sang along with Professor Edgar Gordon with the "Let's Sing" program. Each student was issued a song book and this was our music class. At least until Mr. Hanson became the traveling music teacher. To read more about the Wisconsin School of the Air, refer to the Wisconsin Archives How many of us spent time watching Captain Kangaroo, Mr. Moose and Mr. Rabbit in the morning? Of course we were very much influenced by Tom Terrific!. Did anyone ever get to go to a Sheriff Bob Show and watch Ruf and Ready cartoons, not to mention get a nice sample of Peter's Meat, they also advertised for Bunny Bread and Dolly Madison, all local manufacturers. |
