Serves as a mid level manager of the Partnership. Bommarito takes his guidance from the Giacalones primarily Vito "aka Billy Jack," Giacalone. Frank has been a member or associate of the Detroit underworld since 1948 when he suffered his first brush with the law after a failed attempt to rob a local business. Over the years Frank has added 2 other convictions for breaking and entering in 1961 and '57 to go along with one for armed robbery in 1968, followed by a 1985 conviction for soliciting the murder of Detroit gambling figure Ernie Kanakis who was suspected of killing 3 members of the Outfit during a 1977 dispute. Finally Frank added yet another check to his list when he was convicted of insurance fraud in relation to a phony claim filed on the car of his son Carlo who has had his own close calls with the law. Bommarito received a 6 month sentence on January 8, 1993 but was allowed to leave the Macomb County jail during the week day daylight hours to run his catalytic converter business "Frank's Enterprises," located on Detroit's Eastside. Frank a loyal member of the Giacalone crew "he once was a partner of the Giacalone brothers in a grocery store," maintains that he and his son are victms of anti-Italian bias and the Giacalone's are "decent friends, family friends, good friends who have known and cared for each other." Frank narrowly escaped yet another conviction relating to the firebombing of a trash facility by members of a crew of associates of the Detroit Outfit "amoung the members of the crew were his son Carlo and his good friend John Pree who eventually testified against the Bommarito's but later recanted his testimony and stopped cooperating with authorities." Bommarito was accused of acting as the contact between the crew which carried out robberies, arson and beatings all on the order of Billy Jack Giacalone. This time Frank was able to avoid conviction when Pree recanted his statements to authorties causing a dimissal of charges against Bommarito now 68 years old.
