The Chambers

The Chambers Organization consisted primarilly of 4 brothers from the empoverished town of Mariana Arkansas. The organization got it's start when high school Billy Joe Chambers a high school dropout, started selling marijuana out of a party store in 1983. In 3 short years the gang hit it's stride when yet another Chambers brother moved to Detroit after a 5 year stretch in Leavenworth. Larry Chambers provided the experience, focus, direction and capitol needed for the gang to move into the burgeoning crack cocaine market.

In short order Willie and Otis Chambers joined the fray as the groups operation expanded netting them an estimated profit of $42,000,000 easily qualifying them as the richest men to emerge from Mariana. The Chambers gang would collapse under the weight of justice in 1989 when all of the brothers involved in the operation would be convicted and sentenced to long prison terms. While awaiting sentencing, Billy Joe Chambers had a chance to tell his story when Esquire magazine featured the gangs exploits in it's January 1990 edition.
