"Navi! Don't go!" Link cried out.
"Sorry, Link, we have to make things go back to normal, just like Princess Zelda said!" Navi replied.
"Awww...forget Zelda! How can things possibly go 'back to normal' if a person is banished to the Sacred Realm?"
Navi sighed. "I guess your right...fine, I'll go with you."
"All right!"
"So, where are we headed?"
"How about the Kokiri Forest? It's been a while since we've been there."
"Okay, use your ocarina."
"I KNOW!"
"Sorry..."
Link played the Minuet of the Forest and several green lights flew around him. Then a flash of light... and Link was gone.
"Wow!," said Link. "This place has never looked better!"
"Link! Link!" Saria came running towards him, "I'm so glad to see you!" She hugged him.
"Yeah, it's been a while, hasn't it?" said Link, backing out of her embrace.
Just then, one of the kokiri came running up.
"Hey, Mido!" exclaimed Link.
"Sorry, Link. No time for small talk. Some weird guy came buy 2 days ago looking for you. After we told him you had left, he said, 'I thaught Kokiri couldn't leave The Forest,' and I said that you had been gone for a while. Then he... he..."
Saria looked down with a tear in her eye and Mido ran back to his house crying. Saria looked up and pointed in the direction of the Deku Tree. Link ran there as fast as he could.
"What the...?" he said, astonished.
The little "room" was completely in ashes. There was no Deku Tree and there never would be another. It was horrible.
Saria walked up behind him.
"The man got really mad and burned down the old Deku Tree. It had a little start of another tree underneath it. Now it's all gone."
