| Welcome to the page I really wasn't sure of putting out on my website. Well, I'd first like to say thank you for visiting my site. There is a hidden meaning to the words in the title that graces these pages. Wind beneath my wings was to symbolize one of my late friend's trip to heaven. He wanted something more to his life, something to guide his way to the after life. He was such a great and loving guy. So, a bunch of his little groupies (which included me) made him a pair of wings to keep him safe. It was nothing more than a few sheets of cardboard with feathers glued to it, and pictures of us hanging out stamped onto the inside of the wings. But it meant something more to him. Something much more... There is a song called Wind Beneath My Wings, by Bette Midler. It was actually one of his favorite songs. It's very beautiful song indeed that made me think about what life can be. What love can mean. Life is a journey, meant to have you experience pleasure, as well as pain. You cannot have one without knowing the meaning of the other. But this song expresses much in between the lines. When you live, something is always guiding you to a certain destination. Like the wind beneath your wings. The harsh winds will push you in a certain direction than other blows will. When he died, Wind Beneath My Wings also became one of my favorite songs. It reminds of how even the toughest of blows from the winds can shape you into one person, then another with a different gust. RIP Christopher Lankton 1987-2003 This site is dedicated to you Chris.
