Nature Education and Exhibits
Touch tanks, Aquaria and Exhibits: Live sea turtles, snakes, sharks and other sea life are on display at the center. Three-hour guided kayak tours through the marsh are offered through the year, reservations required. Canoes and paddleboats are available for rent March through September. The center is run by the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and the 4-H Program. Tidelands provides the guided nature walks at Clam Creek, St. Andrews Picnic area and South Dunes picnic area.
Visit Tidelands EXHIBITS:- Admission - $4.00 per person - Many native animals on display, including loggerhead sea turtle, snakes, fish, alligator,crabs, & much more. Touch tanks, Gift Shop. Canoe & Paddleboat Rentals: on the enclosed adjacent pond $15/hour; 9am-3pm Monday-Friday, 10am-1pm Sat/Sun.(Seasonal) Guided Kayak Tours: reservations required:(available all year) Enjoy a 3-hour guided tour-through the salt marsh. Single:$55 tandem:$95. Youth must be accompanied by parent. Guided Nature Walks: Explore the beach, forest, marsh or gardens. Meet your guide at the site at 9 a.m. Scheduled walks run March-October. No reservations needed. Other walks scheduled upon request.

Live Oaks and More Walk: (Mar- Oct. only). Thursday: -Faith Chapel parking lot (historic district) 9am. Learn about live oaks, resurrection ferns, Spanish moss and the historic plantings of the Jekyll Island Club era Coastal Explorers: Summer program for children ages 4 to 10, each Friday at 10:45 am from June and July.
