I am currently interested in obtaining a part-time position in data processing, within the greater Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. I am not in a position to travel or relocate.

Over 20 years in data processing including computer operations,
production control, systems programming and data center supervision.
Platforms used are mainly IBM mainframe Systems as well as IBM PCs
and UNIX Systems. I am Fluent in all major mainframe software
applications (from an operations and systems viewpoint)
including scheduling packages, CICS, IMS, DB2, VTAM, MVS & JES2.
I also write several computer languages such as COBOL, CLIST
and REXX. Performed a ROSCOE to TSO and COBOL to COBOLII conversion.

in COBOL370 and utilizes IMS & DB2 in batch and online. The Legacy
system runs in an IBM/MVS-ESA/JES2 environment. ENDEVOR is used
for change control, ESP is the scheduler. As of late, involved with the database purge procedures and Cobol OS390 upgrades.

Spent 12 years at Independence Blue Cross in a variety of positions
including computer operator, operations supervisor, production
control, technical analyst and systems programming. Systems used
were all IBM mainframes ranging from 3081's to ES9000s. While at IBC,
I became very fluent in CLIST & REXX languages, in which I wrote
several applications still in use today. I also was responsible
for automation support using BOOLE & BABBAGE AUTOOPS which is REXX
based. As technical analyst I was in charge of a ROSCOE to TSO
conversion as well as implementation and maintenance of ENDEVOR
for MVS and DOS (PC).Also utilized a cobol user exit routine to
maintain IBC's standards through Docutext/Jobscan.

In the PC environment I do consulting work for installing,
upgrading WINDOWS95/98/ME, as well WORD-PROCESSING and SPREADSHEET software.
I install and upgrade MS-DOS operating systems as well as teach
users how to operate these systems. Over the past several month
I have installed, upgraded at least 12 systems with WINDOWS98/ME.
I also assist clients in installing, maintaining and upgrading
other WINDOWS95/98/ME and MS-DOS based applications. Worked for several
month using MICRO-FOCUS-COBOL to repair an inhouse written dental
health insurance system.
As systems programmer my duties included installation and upgrades
for 3rd party vendor products consisting in part of SAS, PHOENIX,
FileAid, Docu-Text & Scan, MXG, IBMs COBOLII conversion aid, TRX,
ENDEVOR and TPX. While in operations, I also gained responsibility
of XEROX 9700 laser printer forms design.
