Out of the Night and into the Light
Out of the light I step, and into the night.
The dark and the night, to me a most familiar site
Serene and safe like a comfortable dream
A place of passion, or so it would seem.
The dark and the night, to me a most frightening site
Alone and afraid like times best forgotten
A place of my own making that ought never again awaken.
The day and light, to me a most beautiful site
The smell of sweet blossom and the sun so bright
A place of desire that filled me with fire.
The day and the light, to me a most awesome site
The flow of manes golden and sparkling eyes to behold
A place of compassion that allowed me to hope.
The day and the light, to me a most confusing and exciting site
Of pain alluring and passions awoken
A place of promises that can not be broken.
The day and the light, to me now a better site
Of touches so tender and fears that will now surrender
A place of cognition that freed my soul, a place I will always remember.
Out of the night I step, and into the light.
